Almost a year between my first and second AMV
2005-09-28 02:01:19
Wow its been almost a year between my First and Second AMV I just realized this and thought I would put up a post about it.
Any way, I have another idea for an AMV I just need to start working on it, I think I'll have some time later on tonight after laundry and homework. Today I spent all day not doing anything really other than look at the new Ravnica: City of Guilds of Magic: The Gathering and drool over what I want and what type of deck I was going to construct for the upcoming Standard Tournament.
Well I don't have much else to say, kinda just wanted to add another post to my journal before I leave to go do laundry... If you are reading this, and haven't already looked at my AMV's you should give them a try and tell me what you think. Muwahahahaha advertisiments in journals oh the humanity of it all... :) Bye

Wow I never post in this thing...

So umm yeah... the last time I posted, I was working on a comedy AMV for using Naruto, while I have begun on it, and do plan to finish it sometime, I have taken a break from it. The first reason I took a break is that honestly I am finding comedy harder to do than I thought, the idea is funny enough, at least everyone whom I've told thinks so, but keeping somthing funny for 4 minutes is a rather daunting task actually. Secondly it seems as though everyone and their computer savy mom is doing a Naruto vid, and really flooding it. I honestly turn away from downloading Naruto vids now because I have seen to many, sadly Bleach is getting to be almost the same (Both incredible animes too!)
So with all that out of the way... I posted, what would drive me to make a post after all this time. Well a new AMV is what. Thats right, I finally found inspiration and time all in one place and made an AMV title "Distant Voices". A love story of sorts using The Voices of a Distant Star, and Blink-182's "I Miss You" I watched the anime because it was recommended to me by a friend, awhile ago actually, and immediately though of this song, A few weeks later and there it was a completed AMV.
All this stuff can be found in the description on the download though. What I would like to put here is a little more personal detail. First off, I never saw myself doing an emotional vid such as this, so I am pleseantly surprised. Also I Miss You is not one of my favorite songs, especially by Blink-182, I came to appreciate it a little more creating this though. When I set to work on this video I had it all planned out in my head... half way through it changed... 3/4s of the way finished and I scrapped the whole thing to start over, I kept getting new ideas(I almost even changed songs after the vid was complete.) I think some of my friends didn't think I would finish it, after all I have started about 6 AMV's and completed only 2 of them. One of them even said "You are still working on that?" in a sarcastic tone thinking I would have scapped it or perhaps finished it by now. The AMV took only about 2 weeks to make as said in the description, but most of that 2 weeks was used, I slept around 20 hours in those 2 weeks and did my homework in the wee hours of the morning only just before class, as everything was put after this project on my priority list. All in all I am proud of this AMV, not because its truly "great" more so because I didn't expect it. I also learned alot about Premiere with this, I spent a great deal of time going through all the effects trying to get a good flash back feel for a lot of the scenes.
Well I think I have typed up most of what I can remember, it is time for me to put on another pot of coffee and get to work on some of that homework I have been neglecting recently. Until my next post(like you people actually have read each of my posts like it were the world news) Bye bye.

Two days in a row!
2005-01-19 04:23:12
Well technically its already Wednesday morning, but I haven't gone to bed yet so its still Tuesday to me.
I heard a term today that I really enjoy, I am not sure why though. "Superficial Intelligence" it came up when a friend and I were talking about the use of big words and why people feel the need to use them when laymen’s term is universally known. Scientists need to use them to sound intelligent? Who knows I can understand things like a species name being said to keep them categorized but why say "fecal matter" when "poop" will do? Any way that is my rambling for today... looking back this one almost feels like a "real" journal entry
*looks around really scared*

W00t my first post of the new year, I guess I am not much of a journal kinda guy, oh well.
I am however posting today to say that I started on a new AMV I recently got a friend addicted to Naruto and while watching it through with him I saw something I found quite funny and decided to try out a comedy instead of focusing on doing the rest of the character profiles. I don't want to reveal too much and spoil it before its done, so I expect it to be done by the end of the week time permitting.
