  • Latest AMV 2002-08-23 19:30:47 My next AMV premiered at Adelaide, Australia at the 'AV Connection' (Anime & Video Games Convention). It won Best AMV Overall and got screened after the Love Hina Australian premiere screening! Yaay.

    It was made on my new computer which pretty much cuts my editing time into small itty bity bits.

    Here's the specs of my new machine

    1GB of 266Mhz DDR RAM
    2x 60GB HDD
    22" Mitsubishi DiamondPro Flatron CRT Monitor
    Creative Audigy with internal 5.5' Drive
    Leadtek Winfast 128DDR GeForce4 Ti4600

    Plus I now have 5.1 surround speakers... mmmm heavenly

    Looooking into getting a domain http://www.booyahproductions.org and linking it to my work webspace to serve up my files.

  • Booyah Productions. Slowly but surely. 2002-02-12 11:48:27 Mmmmmm... what can I say. I am slack.
    Only 2 music videos in the last 5 months and no webpage to be seen.
    I've been stuffing around with capture size etc., seems that my first two videos, using 360x288, end up having black border side larger than the other (namely the right side). Using TMPEnc, I've been trying different sizes and while I ended up on 480x360, I seem to get an even bigger border. Obviously there's a settings daemon at work. Possibly ratio aspect?
    2 videos, I'm happy with them. Although watching them again and again makes me nitpick way too much. Such is life. Need bigger and better computer, mmmmmm dual Athlon XPs, 512RAM, 2 80GB harddrives..... Using Movie Xone at the moment, I really need to upgrade to Premiere 6 one day.

    **Future Video Ideas** (which ppl will probably steal)

    - The Grudge by Tool (would fit great with Evangelion's Shinji as focus point, altho 8 mins will be a bastard, prob need to divx it)

    - I Cant Catch You by Sixpence None The Richer (Various animes used here, main ideas - Lupin III [castle of cag.], Nadesico [poor akito hehe])

    - Any Pumpkins song (My favourite band needs a mention, although finding the appropiate song [that hasnt been used either] will be a pain, maybe Ava Adore or Marquis in Spades)

    - Like a King by Ben Harper (possibly wont be an anime vid persay, would mainly use documentry films of Dr Martin Luther King Jr. and themed black oppression scenes, another looooong song, esp live. Moves me greatly)

    - Teaser Video (something short and witty to advertise my shitty skills)

    - A My Dear Marie video... (I love the show. wish they made more =[ )

    Furthermore... I NEED DAMN HOSTING.... *sigh* I wont find any soon unless I plead with another AMV Production team for space =]
