  • Management Restucture 2003-01-09 12:43:15 Management Restucture... I don't understand companies. They spent about a month just reorginizing the company and when they are done, things are basically the way they were before. <shrugs> I figure atleast now they have a chart to use for deciding where to 'trim the fat' from the company. I don't care. I just want them to get on with it. I just knew they wouldn't give us any real information today. <rolls eyes> They even had to have a seperate meeting with me today to tell me about the change. However it's nothing major so I don't really care. Oh well. I guess atleast this means I have my job for awhile, and I can keep house hunting.

  • Stuff 2003-01-06 20:37:26 You know I should be happy to have my stuff back. But I don't care. I'm more annoyed at how long it took the idoit to send the stuff back. The idiot said she couldn't find a big enough box. What a loser. Bet she had to have other people take her to the post office to send it. She just keeps using people. It's nice to have her out of my life. And she even sent back stuff I didn't expect to get back, so that's good. I came out ahead on all this. And I got a nice big box that I can store stuff in. Life is good.
  • Flamer 2003-01-03 09:57:20 I don't hate gay people, I mean I'm bi-sexual myself. I'm into Yaoi, and make Yaoi and Yuri AMVs. I have lots of gay friends as well. (What do you expect living in California). What I don't like is a certain gay male that I know who just so full of himself. Okay so technically he's bi. He wants the world to revolve around him and people to worship him, and yet he's a jerk. He has dellusions of self importance. I haven't liked him since I met him, and I suppose more so when he took away one of my friends. I just have to hope that my friend will some day figure out what happening. That the jerk is a user, and a failuare. Can't even hold a steady job. He's so flaming gay but refuses to admit to being such. I just feel sorry for his son.
  • Well Work tomorrow. 2003-01-01 23:14:45 I have work tomorrow...yeah...<rolls eyes> Today was alot of fun. I finally got to watch Lord of the Rings The Two Towers. Most people who know me think it's odd when I say I've never read the books. That I find them boring and the movies abit dull to. They think because I'm into fantasy and Sci-fi it must be right up my alley. I don't particularly like 'high fantasy' which is what Lord of the Rings is. I much prefer Light Fantasy. I don't know which movie, the first or the second I liked better. I found the second to drag abit but it had more Legolas screen time. <drool> Even a nice Yaoi like moment between him and Aragon. Didn't like Aragon or any other characters till this movie. Oh and tree people rocked! But I swear they stole the costumes from the Ren. Faire. Oh well. The battles were okay, but they were missing one important seige defense. Well other then the boiling water, etc... They were missing the ladder pushers. These are long sticks that just push the ladders back, so people can't get in. I do think the trees were awsome. However they responded to quickly to the call. I guess they were playing with the time thing. Atleast this time I wasn't distracted by the height changing in the movie, like I was in the first one.

Now the first movie, the extended version I liked. It had a much better balance then the theater version. It gave more information and I felt that was good, and so I enjoyed it. (Despite having to fight my male friend's hands off of me with a stick, dang it I was trying to watch the movie.) Anyways. I am now interested in seeing the second movie's extended verison. If the third movie is decent, I may pick up all three movies in what ever giant box set they have some day. Then I can take Legolas out any time I want to drool over him. hehehe.
  • New Years... 2003-01-01 11:20:56 Well I had alot of fun. I got together with a group of friends at a friend's house and we watched movies, ate pizza and candy. We called it abit early because everyone had work yestreday and will be working again on Thursday.

I drove through Pasadena last night and found it amusing to see everyone lined up on the street. I've marched in the parade twice, but have never bothered to sleep out for it. It's so much better to just watch it on TV. The only thing I don't like is they don't tend to show the tall flags much, focusing on the bands. Having been a tall flag captain I have a liking for watching them.

My parents help the Rose Parade by running the ticket or refreshment booth at the float decorating. Then the morning of the parade they are awake and watching the entire thing. One of them with a program marking down what float won what awards.

We all sort of wish and hope that the Duarte/City of Hope float will win an award some day. For years the Duarte float has been the worst smallest float possiable. Then they had only one float frame and just reused it each year. So it was an animal of some sort. One year it was a bear, another a dinosaur, a duck, etc... Then Duarte became the main location for float building for Festival floats. Part of the deal was that Festival floats would help to improve the Duarte float. So the float improved.

...Well Duarte isn't going to get an award, as the only one it could when is the Princess Trophy, best float under 35 feet. And someone else won it, oh well. However Duarte does have the award for the fastest float. One day they took the float down to the Irwindale race way and had it on the race track, and got it to like 55 Mph. Yes Duarte is a silly town that will race it's float down a race way.

Okay back to the parade.. Happy New Years.
