  • New Member 2002-08-14 12:58:45 I had a strange/interesting request last night. Fungie 1/2 asked to be part of Baka Deshi Productions!, much to my surprise. I ofcourse aggreed. Anyone is welcome to join. So now Baka Deshi Productions consists of three people. Myself, Fungie 1/2 and my best friend Icka. Icka doesn't make videos but she made the Baka Deshi Logo, along with helping me review my videos. In Suichi's Question she located the Yami No Matesui picture and created the little Christmas tag as well. Ofcourse there are lots of associate Baka Deshi Members, that I call the Duck Tape Birgade. They are those friends, relatives and colleagues that I duck tape to a chair and force to watch my videos and give feedback.

I finished Version 2 of Suichi's Question! Now I get to restart working on CSS. I have all weekend to work on it, and I will work for atleast 8-12 hours on it each day. It's going to be a fun video project.

  • Another Rant. 2002-08-09 10:31:28 Rant, read at your own risk.

When is it okay to complain about feedback? My video 'Suichi's Question' took first place at Shoujo-con, and it so far has 1 f-ing review!
It's a good thing I was at the convention so I could get the feedback on my video. Goodness knows I never get feedback here. <sigh>
Between the 20 CDs I handed out at AX and the 30 CDs I handed out at Shoujo-con, you would think I could get more then 1 review. I complain about my videos not getting shown, but it's the only way I seem to get any feedback... Sigh. I am sending off three videos to AX NY today. With the late notice on the rules, and the submission deadline being today, maybe they won't have as many entries and one of my videos can make the finals. I actually sent 'Suichi's Question' to AXNY and maybe they will show it. It's different judges, and maybe they won't be as anal as the AX ones.

  • Scarf! 2002-08-08 14:06:56 After e-mailing atleast 5 different places, one of them responded and will be able to make me the scarfs! yeah! <happy dance> The scarfs are going to only cost $20.00 each, which is incrediable! I hope my friends will like them. The lady also said she thinks there will be no problem with getting me the scarfs before the movie! yeah! I'll have my wonderful Hufflepuff scarf. Yes I like the Hufflepuffs. I played on a Harry Potter mush and they would call the Hufflepuffs the Muffin heads. I don't care they are nice and friendly. Besides their mascot is the almighty Badger! Beware the Badger!

  • Harry Potter 2002-08-08 13:20:16 twenty-one stripes (eleven darker-colored and ten light-colored stripes) and eleven separate tassels at the ends (six dark and five light). 8 inches wide, 72 inches long, not including 6 inch fringe

And I need to find 3 or 4 of the above mentioned scarf. In the various House colors. <Sigh> Found one place but they will sell them to me for $45 each. Another has them for $35. But it's just an F-ing scarf! I'm not paying so much for a scarf. Located one for $25 but the person isn't selling scarfs right now. <sigh> Another even had scarfs for 12-14 pounds, but the day after I e-mailed them to order them, they posted a note saying they were not going to make any more scarfs! <Argh!> I found one of the scarfs on E-bay, but it's currently being sold for $128 dollars! Come on, it's only a scarf!

I want to get them to give to my friends, so we can all wear them to watch the movie in November. If anyone knows where I can get the scarfs for hopefully under $20, please let me know.
  • Rant 2002-08-05 17:37:28 If you don't want to hear/read me rant then stop reading.

Why do people read stuff in your journal where your complaining about something and then complain your complaining. Isn't a journal a good place for ranting. If you don't want to read the rant then why are you reading it. Why then will people go on to complain about said rant. Oh well.

With Otakon a week over, maybe <crosses fingers> I'll get a few more reviews on my videos. I gave out CDs at Shoujo-con, but as I'm finding out it's a useless thing. I've had a few people contact me about 'Suichi's Question' and after Yaoi-con I'll be sending them CDs of my stuff.

I need hosting, but why bother getting host if it's just going to allow leechers to leech even more then they do. I'll end up with an expensive bill for all the bandwidth they use, and most likely won't get any reviews.

I haven't decided if it's annoying or neat when people at Shoujo-con find I made 'Suichi's Question' and I would hand them a CD and inform them there are thirteen videos on it.

Atleast my videos will be shown at AWA. I keep giggling that I should get a special award from AWA, 'Most Yaoi videos submitted by one creator'. I submitted all three of my Yaoi videos to AWA.

I need to work on my Suichi's Question re-do for Yaoi-con. I'm really happy with the changes I've made to it. There are some scenes which are just really odd. Some people think it's a video that just show pretty boys, but it's not. I really tried to get scenes that fit the lyrics. The video lyrics are also about Jack being exposed to christmas, so my video is Suichi being exposed to all the wonderful world of Yaoi. So many series that can be consedered yaoi-ish.

Tonight I'm going to take the easy method for some DVD ripping I need to do. Instead of ripping the DVDs, I'm just going to capture the output to VHS and then capture the VHS recording to my computer. This will take me at most 30 min per series/DVD I want to capture. As compaired to the 8+ hours per series/DVD the other method provides. For 1-2 second scenes the 8+ hours is just rediculous. Sure I did it for the first part of the video and should for this one as well, but I really need to finish this video so I have enough time for my next project before Yaoi con.
