Now they want to charge staff members $6.50 each to attend their Nihon Nights Sushi Social. I don't know if that cost will also be put to regular convention goers, but I assume it will be. I believe last year it was free.

I'm waiting for them to finish the dang paperwork and get back to me about my web hosting. <sigh> Then I can atleast start offering one video a month.
I am ready to export my Yaoi-con AMVs, and should be doing that tomorrow. I've also been watching the AWA contest. I didn't get my tapes till yesterday, and I'm one of the ones who has two tape number ones. The tapes took so long to reach me, now I have to wait for one to be resent. Sigh. However as I was watching the tapes last night, my father came up to see the videos. He enjoyed the first one I showed him so much, that he sat down, and wouldn't leave. He kept making comments about the videos, what he would rank each as.
My father doesn't watch anime, and is 50+ years old. However he really enjoyed the AMVs. He wanted to see my videos, so I showed him two of mine and he liked them. My father doesn't tend to like videos with to much action/clips/flashing. I think I'm begining to aggree with him. Maybe I'm just getting old.

Weekend... And Hosting

I ran the anime room at Strategicon all weekend. It was alot of fun. Best time I had at one of the Strategicon conventions ever I think. Mainly because I had my own area, and only had to deal with those people I wanted to, instead of all the BS I normally have to deal with. Only problem was this one DDR guy who kept hitting on me. He was annoying but then I didn't mind the attention.
I also am buying hosting. I have a web site, but I'm making/buying a site just for hosting my AMVs. There isn't much space only 80megs, but I figure I can rotate what video I host on the site. It has unlimited bandwidth as well. (Yes I know that is never true, but I talked to the company and it seems I'll be okay.) <crosses fingers> Now the diffecult job of keeping other AMVs away from using the service as well, and ruining it for me.
I hope to have my first video on the site, ready for download tonight.
I don't know what video it will be, but most likely Suichi's Question Vr. 1.
- Heart Pounding 2002-08-29 18:28:36 My heart is absolutely pounding. I'm so nervous as well. I'm being a stupid foolish little girl, but I don't care. It feels wonderful. I'm going to see my True Love tonight. We are even going to have dinner together. I'm so happy. He's just a friend, but I don't care, he makes my head spin. I'm so nervous. I've had dinner with him alone before, but never when he was single and I was single, and... when the energys seem so right. I know nothing will happen, I can't let anything happen, but I'll be happy to be in his company for the evening. And maybe it will finally start to click into his thick skull that he means the world to me. End of Gush.
