  • Go Vote 2004-06-17 12:30:15 Go here and vote for the Octopus.

    http://www.plainblack.com/

My friend drew it, and if she wins it will look great on her art resume. (Which she is hoping to get a job in art).

Also doesn't it make more sense for an octopus to represent a GUI (graphical user interface) then a Gold fish. Goldfish don't have fingers to press buttons, which is what GUI is all about.
  • 2004-04-22 17:06:19 I've moved to Live journal.... I posted a new video. It's only 26 seconds long. It's however an entire song, strange as it is.

I get reviews more regularly. I have 3 videos done to Rose of Versailles, waiting for contests.
  • 2003-06-12 09:36:25 Yeah, I got a new review on Suichi's Question. I'm so happy when I get a review. The last review I got was back in April. Yes I go months without getting any reviews. :( Oh well, I'm happy I got one. :) With a video like Suichi's Question, it's nice to hear that people picked up on some of the jokes that maybe are not as noticable as others. The Scene of Sagara I put in for 'throwing heads'. Yes it's a reference to his decaptication later. I couldn't find the picture I wanted of his severed head, and it would have worked so well to have a bloody head in the middle of the video, so I put the image of him only. Ofcourse in version two, because most people don't get the joke, I removed it. (sigh) I however stiill like the scene.
  • Otakon 2003-05-21 12:03:06 I really don't enter many contests. Expecially compaired to alot fo creators. I'll enter On-line contests like MindWarp's or Rudeboy's, etc... Because they are basically the only ones that accept 'adult' videos. (shrugs)

Then I submit to: Anime-Exp, Shoujo-con, Yaoi-con, and Fanime. All of which I attend. The only other conventions I submit to that I don't attend are: Otakon and AWA.

I finally decided what video to send to Otakon. Figured I was running out of time, and better submit before I forget. I ended up submitting 'Sounds of Bats'. It's a boring action piece that is also dramatic and well, just not very good. I enjoyed making it, but I didn't spend as much time on it, as I should have. I'm also not very good with 'action' videos. Oh well. I had hoped to have a new video for Otakon, but that's not going to happen. I really need to make some serious videos soon. Serious in that I spend the proper amount of time on them, and get them to a competition quality level. Ketsurui, December, 1864, and maybe Suichi's Question Vr.2 are the only videos I really see as being at the proper 'competition' quality. Oh well.
  • Why not 2003-05-19 14:19:33 So I don't spam my LJ to much...

First something AMV releated... I finished an AMV this weekend. Took me 5 hours, and it's less then 2 minutes long. It's just a cute piece of fluff that I have been wanting to do for awhile now, and well, I was like what the hay, so I did it this weekend. I'm happy with it, even if it's just fluff. I'll be sending it Shoujo-con. Not sure if it will just be exhibition. Depends if I have time to finish other stuff.

I'm going over to my friend's house to watch Fruits Basket DVD 3 and 4. The dub is actually rather good. I would watch it subbed, but the TV is rather small so it's hard to read them. We tried watching the HK DVDs but the subtitles flew by way to fast, and ofcourse were to small to read well, so we are watching the dub. Nuff said.

I'm almost ready for the convention this weekend. I have tapes of Anime set up, so I can sleep at night. I better bring my VCRs this time. Last time the VCR was burned out after 6+ hours of VHS playing.
