Despite months and months of having the video in my head, I still don't know specifically what I'm going to do with my DDR3 video. All I know is that it's going to be Black Heaven with lots of gaudy, flashy effects. Well, so far, I've worked out how the first 4 bars of the song are going to go :P Aside from that, I'm pretty much making things up as I go. Kinda worried, though..there really is not much good footage of Oji doing his thang on the guitar...which is essentially the only footage I'm planning on using. Half the time it's either just a still, or he's all motion blurred. So...it's up to me and effects to make 1 full minute of still shots of a guy playing his guitar interesting. *sigh*...never tried anything like that before. But fuggit, I have almost two months to screw around with it...I'm sure 2 months is enough time for me to create one minute of fun :P
Been also thinking of more SaiKano song ideas, though I'm already pretty set on the one I was planning on. Akimbo gave my song the thumbs-up after some initial skepticism, which is basically all the confirmation an editor needs, right? :D The other songs were fine thematically and aurally, but it all came down to the problem of the footage not being visually dynamic enough. One idea I really liked was The Dolphin's Cry by Live, but the problem with that is exactly what I was just talking about.
I'm also worried about ripping off AbsoluteDestiny's AMV...I was picturing a scene from my AMV last night, and I realized that he had already used that clip the exact same way -_-
Hrm...I just played Ian's video with an mp3 of my song in the background...sigh...the footage just doesn't seem lush enough for the music. I guess I'll find out for sure when I start editing :/ -

What the heck is my DDR2 video doing in the Top Star Scale list? O_O
I personally thought it was somewhat of a disappointment. Oh well, thanks ^_^ - 2003-04-21 15:50:58 Since it's only a minute long, I'm going to make sure my DDR3 video is pure, unrelenting insanity. In fact, I hope it's painful to watch. Hopefully it'll make up for my blah DDR2 contribution last year.

Okay, I think I can cut almost a minute out of the song I want to use for my SaiKano video, which brings it down to a reasonable 3:30. I'm such a whore about cutting down songs to make it easier to fill out the timeline :) But hey, I did a 5:30 video last summer, so I don't care!
But I realized that the first few seconds of my video are going to be nearly identical to AD's :'( We have very different songs, but the first clip he uses would be so perfect at the beginning of my video. Drat.
Oh well...weekend after next I'm starting my DDR3 video, come hell or dead computer. I'm thinking of putting some UHF footage in it, not sure if it'll clash and look stupid or if it'll get people cheering. -

I'm finally getting excited about editing again. Not that I've actually BEGUN editing yet :P
Hopefully I'll have a SaiKano video for AWA, thanks to AD.
