JOURNAL: Kusoyaro (Hsien Lee)

  • Time to leave work! 2001-09-25 16:51:16 Back from AWA, and finally recovered from getting home at 3:30 AM Sunday night and having to get up for work the next morning.

    Aside from my drunken shenanigans that I don't remember (check the Forum for details), I had an incredible time. And I supposedly had a great time at Iron Chef...damn...I was hanging out with EK and Brad DeMoss, two cool people that I don't see very often, and I don't even remember it ;_;

    The attendance at my panel amazed me...especially given my time slot. Jay and Allison both enjoyed it, even though I made them both stand up in front of everybody...hahaha, that had been my plan from the start!

    As with every other trip to AWA, I returned home totally pumped up about my upcoming video projects. Gotta start planning for that Masters video ASAP :)

    Let's see...next up is AnimeUSA, then probably Katsucon.
  • ....And off I go! 2001-09-19 15:50:46 Hope to see you all there!
  • AWA time! 2001-09-19 11:19:41 In less than 5 hours, I'm departing for AWA!!!
    Well, kinda...departing for Duke tonight, departing Duke for AWA tomorrow...

    I can't fucking wait...last year's AWA was probably the best con I've ever been to.
  • New videos online 2001-09-18 16:29:19 When I was at Duke I used to host my videos off of my own PC, which was very limited.

    But Duke also gives each student 70 megs of personal space on their servers...servers which have nearly unlimited bandwidth. I can't believe it took me until last week to put two and two together after I lost my PC ethernet access!

    So...I cleaned out about 30 megs worth of old homeworks, labs, etc. off my server space and cleared out enough space to put my new FLCL video. I'm alumni now, so I get to keep that account for another year (though my friend Andy graduated 3 years ago and somehow still has his account).
    And I found that my younger brother (also at Duke) was using all of 1040 BYTES of his 70 megs. So I uploaded my very newest video (PSME to music by my brother himself) and a short video (Maxwell Murder).
    Yay! Reliable hosting at last, albeit with limited space.

    If I recall correctly, Duke has a hit limit on the personal servers (10K a day, which I'd never max out in a million years), but no limit on bandwidth ^___^
  • La la la 2001-09-09 21:03:12 Yay, finally finished my PSME video. My brother Jay and his friend Allison are probably coming down to AWA just to see the video in front of a crowd (since they wrote and performed the song).

    Next up for me: Fushigi Yuugi (again!). I can finally make a video using GOOD source (DVD boxes) instead of old fansubs.

    I love my new DV500. Still hate Premiere, though ^_^
