    Sigh...I was chatting online with some random person, and she was raving about a bunch of FLCL videos she had seen. I told her I had done one that was sort of dark, and she replied:
    "awww no funny and no upbeat boooo, dark = blaaaaah"

    Well fuck me Freddy. No bounce, no play.

    I like this journal a lot better than the forum. Maybe because for now I don't have to worry about people replying to the stupid things I say. But...I'm the one who suggested a journal reply option to Phade. I'm an idiot.

    Time to go home, cook a quick dinner, then depart for Poughkeepsie. Feh.

    Speaking of which, anyone notice a pattern in the captions of the pictures at http://www.thegia.com/psx2/ico/ico.html ? Maybe I'll finally buy a game for my PS2 now.

    Funny thing about the Masters competition...so far, both winners have been heavily sentimental, nostalgic, no-frills videos. In fact, I noticed that there was a larger dose of that in this year's entries. Does that mean next year the Masters will see no comedy, action, or special effects-laced videos?

    It just occurred to me that I probably come off as really cynical and maybe even a little outspoken in this journal. And that really isn't true, as anyone who knows me can tell. I'm about as shy a person as there is IRL. Ah well. Back to wasting time elsewhere. One more hour til I go home. 
  • Fah-Q! 2001-09-28 10:30:40 Thanks to some jackass who abused the server that I was hosting my videos on (1000 connections in less than an hour from one person...assclown), my gracious host has asked me to change my links to indirect, and now he has an index page as a buffer from hammering. He is also setting up some administrative stuff which will allow him to ban cockmongers who try to pull shit like this.

    And I'd bet anything that this person isn't even a creator.

    Damn leeches.

    Despite what it sounds like, I really did have fun at Iron Chef...and I'm looking forward to it next year.

    Payday! Which means my $3000 in bills isn't going to hurt so much after all.

    Driving up to Poughkeepsie tonight for the weekend...now I'm sort of feeling like I don't want to go. I'd kind of just rather hang around my apartment, reading, watching anime, playing video games, and drinking hot tea. Haven't had a leisurely weekend like that in a long while, and I'll be out of town for the next 2 or 3 weekends as well.

    It's getting cold around Baltimore now...I was hit by a gust of wind yesterday that felt like childhood. Does that make any sense? Maybe it comes from having spent most of my childhood up north.

    Damn coffee machine...the hot water spiggot isn't working. Maybe I should bring my own hotpot and just keep it in my cubicle. But that would look dumb.

    I write in here too much. I really have too little to do here at work. I guess because my boss knows I'm leaving this department soon.
