I have yet to get used to the coffee in this new department. It isn't transparent when I hold the pot up in the light, and it has flavor to it. Weird.
Had a performance review with my old supervisor at 11:30. Went pretty well.
The weekend should be fun...I'll get to see a friend that I've known since I was 6, and haven't seen since I was 18. Weekend after that is Thanksgiving with the 'rents, and the Saturday after that the Comcast pricks should finally be showing up to install my cable modem.
I'm eating a sickeningly delicious (and unhealthy) lunch right now...and it doesn't even have any meat in it. It cost me $6.66 at the plant cafeteria. Spooky. Food this good HAS to be the spawn of the devil.
A little over halfway done with a narrative I'm writing about my first meeting with Leandra. So far it's 9 pages long, single-spaced. I don't know why I'm writing this. Just for her, I think. I let her read 4 pages of it yesterday, and she liked it, so I'm going to finish it for her. -

Just got my computer set up at my new desk...I used to share a cube with 3 old guys, now I have an entire cubical to myself! For now, at least. I'm probably going to get one cube-mate a little later.

Some people were talking about "With Every Light" on my forum lately, and I got uneasy, just like I always do when that video is mentioned. A couple months ago I went back to Duke and showed some of my music videos at the anime club meeting. My ex-roommate suggested I show WEL, and I refused. I'm pretty sure I didn't show it at my panels at AWA or Anime USA either.
It was one of the proudest moments in my AMV career when I finished it, yet I hate watching it in the company of others. When it showed during Iron Chef, I cringed and tried to ignore it.
I love the video, but it embarasses me to think about others watching it. I felt horrible and guilty when this won AWA Masters over Brad's video.
My girlfriend hasn't even seen it yet.
Geh.
