Sigh...another day with nothing to do. Have to hit the post office during lunch to mail off like 7 packages...not Xmas packages, thankfully, no way in hell I'd expect them to arrive in time. Ran myself ragged until 1 am last night scrambling about the apartment, trying to get things in order before I depart for South Carolina tomorrow...
Put on my DVD of Moulin Rouge in the background while I was doing everything...damn that movie is incredible.
Leandra's at her dad's for the holiday's...never get to talk to her much when she's there...what with 4-5 little kids there that she always has to watch, and sharing a phone line/internet connection with everyone. 7 people in that household at times, and ONE bathroom...and all but 2 are female! I don't see how they do it ^_^
I guess I'll just write her another long email that she'll read whenever the computer frees up.

I think I'm one of like 10 people still here (out of a department of at least 100). People at this company seem to like to take large chunks of December off. It's deathly quiet. Almost creepy. Busy busy this week...in fact, I had to scramble to free up the 2 hours it took me to watch the Duke-Kentucky game last night...though I was doing stuff during that, as well. So much shit to take care of before I leave for my parents' house Friday. I really wanted to go see Lord of the Rings tonight, but no way I'll have time...I'll have to wait til I get to South Carolina. Sadly, the only 2 people I know that'll be around there during the holiday are both exes -_-
Hmmm...mentioned a PS2 game trade a few days ago--my Metal Gear Solid for a friend's Devil May Cry...he got my MGS2, I'm still awaiting his DMC, though he mailed his out sooner. Funny thing is, since I've mailed out MGS2, I've managed to mail blank tapes and CDs to Quu, have him copy them, and have them mailed BACK to me...yet still no DMC. No insurance on it either, so my friend may be SOL :( Lousy post office...hopefully it's just temporarily lost in the shuffle.
So tired this morning for some reason that I actually had a cup of coffee for the first time in like a month.
"Of Human Bondage" is quite good...although I'm about 1/3 of the way through it and it hasn't developed any kind of story yet.

Finished FY video last night...now it's just a matter of exporting, which I'm having issues with. VDub keeps crashing at the 4-gig mark when I try deinterlacing my Huffyuv file. I do have an MPEG of it...I know I've already given out preview versions of the vid, but until it debuts at Katsucon, I'm not putting the final version online. Mainly because I don't have anywhere to put it T_T
Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust was exactly what I expected: generic plot, pretty-looking gothic violence. I fell asleep in the middle of it, but Paizuri assures me I didn't miss much.
This is going to be such a dead week...the parking lot's half empty, and my boss is going to be out 3 of the 5 days. Looks like I'll be doing a lot of reading.
Vanilla Sky COMPLETELY rocked my ass off. I know already that it's going to end up on more than a few "worst of the year" lists, but it's the best movie I've seen in a long freakin' time. I say Tom Cruise should have woken up as a cat in the end.
