Hrm, Happy Valentine's Day I suppose. I don't ever remember being depressed on Valentine's Day when I was single...even when I was still in love with my ex-girlfriend at the time.
I've noticed that this site is most dead on Thursdays for some reason. I wonder why that is...
Muahaha...now that I have a copy of Super Mario Advance 2 in my possession, I no longer have an excuse for not giving my brother the old SNES.
To anyone with good Kodomo no Omocha source: please make a video to The Beatles' "Drive My Car"? It'd be so easy, yet so much fun. I wish I had the source to do it myself.
Work on my current video has stagnated to a halt, and I'm probably just going to ax it altogether eventually. If you want to take a look at what I've got, there's a download link hidden deeeep inside my webpage. I'm not posting the link up here because it's just too goddamn embarassing.
The next two videos are going to be intense (in terms of work for me I mean, I can only *pray* that they'll be intense for the viewers). I'm really not looking forward to hand-editing hundreds, possibly upwards of 1000 individual frames in Photoshop.

Another long lunch for me...I have to drop off my car at a service station, and then putz around for 2 or 3 hours while they do an MD state inspection on it. At least there's a Best Buy and a mall nearby.
All told, getting my car registered is going to cost me upwards of $300. That's an expense I was NOT anticipating. My new computer's going to be done on March 1st, and I still owe money on that as well. Suck ass!
I've been doing zero actual work the past few days. But now I'm like the project consultant or something...people are always stopping by to ask me about this or that, assuming for some reason that I know the answers. I'm only occasionally actually helpful.
At least I don't feel ill today.
Some random guy I don't recognize called out, "Duke's gonna lose...Sunday!" as I passed him in the hallway. Haha.

Of course, I have to stay late tonight because I took so much time off work today.

I'm trying to decide whether to continue my current video or to go pound a nail through my dick (http://www.penny-arcade.com/view.php3?date=2001-11-28&res=l). It's that bad. It's the worst incoherent mess of crap I've put together since...well, possibly ever. This is the last time I try to do an AMV with source that I haven't watched yet. I've learned my lesson. I simply got lucky with Bachelorette and My Iron Lung.
The IDEA is there. I think I'm the one that's not there. Billy Corgan was right. You can't create when you're unhappy. You recollect your unhappiness *later* and base everything off of that. Unless, of course, you're insane, I guess.
Random question: For all you asians out there, ever notice that all the proprietors of asian-run businesses are always interested in where you live and what your parents do? Every time I go to an asian grocery store or something, it's always, "Oh, do you live near here?" "Do you speak Korean?" "Does your mom live around here too? What does she do?" It's weird.

I started Devil May Cry last night after having borrowed it for like 4 months. A more fast-paced version of Onimusha/Resident Evil, basically. The game is fucking ridiculous, though...I'll be running around, minding my own business, when I'll hit a HUGE fucking nest of enemies that takes 5 minutes of non-stop button-mashing to dispatch. I had to pause the game and take a break every few minutes because my hands got so sore.
I sense the end approaching in FFX, so now I'm kinda taking it slow so I can make it last :P Don't ask me why.
Any Valentine's Day plans, anyone? Me, I'm gonna sit down with a Richard Gere movie, a big tub of chocolate ice cream and--YES, YES, I'm KIDDING! Well, the truth isn't that much more exciting. Just a long phone call, basically...Leandra's V-day package should already be in the hands of one of her friends, who's gonna spring it on her Thursday. I've learned my lesson about getting V-day flowers delivered...spending $60 on a guaranteed delivery of a dozen roses and having it arrive the evening of the *15th*...well, that's just not very romantic.

Time to go take care of some more car crap...which, of course, means taking a long lunch and having to stay later tonight. It is SO FUCKING RIDICULOUS how many bureucratic hoops one has to jump through to bring a car from one state to another and get it insured. I'll probably stop by my apartment on the way there to pick up my Game Boy Advance, since I'm going to have to wait in line for at least an hour.
Oh, and to top everything off, I feel like absolute ass. Oh well. Be back in a couple hours to finish this journal entry.
