  • monkey...monkee--eey...dontcha know, you gotta shock the monkey... 2002-03-19 10:03:32 This week really sucks. Just slogging through until 5:15 PM on Friday when I can finally hop on a damn plane and trek out to Dallas. I'll finally get some use out of my Game Boy Advance on the flight ^_^

    Gonna grab me some sushi for lunch.

    Whew, just when I thought I was going to run out of money this month (what with the purchase of a new computer and digital camera, plus flying to Dallas and taking Leandra and her aunt out to an expensive dinner), I finally receive my final paycheck from a summer of '97 job in the mail. It's not much, but every little bit helps ^_^ 
  • peking is the loneliest china place.... 2002-03-18 10:01:16 Mmmm, very tranquil, nondescript weekend. Just the way I like it, as it's the last time for about a month that I will get to spend a weekend at home. Oh, and St. Patty's came and went with nary a blink from me.

    I'm going to Dallas this upcoming weekend which means, of course, that this week will be interminable.

    Hey EK, which mall in Dallas did you go to that had the Nordstrom's? I traversed half the malls in Dallas with Leandra, I wonder if you went to one that I've been to.

    Dunno what to do about the Trigun video...haven't touched it in days. It was fun exciting to think about and plan, but actually working on it feels like...well, work.

    I've dropped from 1st to 3rd place in the office pool for March Madness. Damn Florida, USC and Cinci for losing so early. Go Duke!

    Making some good progress on finally watching all of Furi Kuri! Watched episodes 1 and 2 for about the 5th time. I hope I'll make it further this time! It's not that I don't like it, but I always get that far and then put off watching the rest, and by the time I get back to it I've forgotten what those eps are about, so I have to watch them again.

    Err...that's all. Nothing interesting going on.

    It's time for a break from the Trigun vid, even though I've really only been working on it for a few days. I got home from work yesterday around 5 PM and dug into the video until about 11 PM, and failed to complete a 1.5-second passage to my satisfaction. It is KICKING MY ASS!!!!

    I've got a rough rough minute of the song done, minus all special effects and timing tweaking...and it sucks! I'm quite ashamed of what I've laid down so far. Even EK, who is always helpful in bouncing around ideas and such, would give a thumbs-down with one hand, hold her nose with the other, and kick me down a stairwell with her foot for making such crap.

    Argh. Somehow lived through 4.5 hours of meetings today. Somebody shoot me.

    Aren't they cute? Sad thing is, that scene took me about 4 hours to do...and they don't even move, they're just standing there conversing (still need to create an animation sequence for Millie's mouth, since she doesn't do ANYTHING in the original scene).

    I actually managed to run for almost 25 minutes yesterday before my side started hurting...which for me, is pretty damn good. I let myself slip too far out of shape during the winter months, and now that the sun's coming out a lot more, I plan to take advantage of it.

    Yay, free lunch both today and tomorrow...
    I had THE most awkward conversation of ALL TIME last night. Still trying to recover.
