JOURNAL: GreyDuck (Karel Kerezman)

  • Reply-o-rama 2002-08-20 16:19:22 OmniStrata: Yes, I scrapped my first attempt at an Iria video. It was to be done to Genesis' "Just A Job To Do." It's still a good idea, but at the time I was simply unprepared to tackle it with the amount of skill required. Maybe later...

dokidoki: I'd just come here from reading the Slashdot obit thread, so I was sort of primed when I read your entry. Then again, I read Slashdot therefore I know what a TM is. =)

You know who you are: You're welcome. I don't suppose your gratitude extends to swapping Op's...? *cheesy grin*

(I kid, I kid. That's not why I give Op's. I give so I can make the "most numerous opinionator" list, dammit!)

(Correction, it's the love. I love these videos. I'm just in a damned snarky mood today. We now return you to your regularly scheduled broadcast day.)

(Oh yeah, and I'm working on the germ of a new video idea. Be afraid. Or annoyed, which is probably more appropriate.)
  • Of opinions and avatars 2002-07-30 19:27:54 EK: That's not too bad, I suppose... WHOAH! Did Spike just...?

    *laughter*

I got two op's on "Versus" so far... more than Mayuka got in the month or so it's been online. Yay! Of course, when I specifically don't ask for op's, that's the video I get 'em on. Figures. Like I'm going to mind!
  • It's about bloody time. 2002-07-29 14:06:27 http://www.animemusicvideos.org/legacy/video.php?v=9818

    It's done, it's posted, YEAH!

Thank you, thank you very much.
  • Done, titled, processed, converted... just not uploaded. 2002-07-28 23:57:06 Hot diggity damn. Two videos in the space of a couple of months. Can I call myself an AMV creator without feeling like a 'poseur' now? ;-)

Now to burn this puppy onto a CD so I can upload it to the server at work tomorrow. I'll post the video entry here immediately afterward.

    Hooray!
  • Done culling footage, video nearly complete! 2002-07-27 17:34:41 And it still doesn't have a title. Maybe I'll just leave it that way. On second thought, that's a lame idea.

The last episode of "Iria" provided me with enough material to fill that last two minutes and then some. I have enough footage now to shift "back" my middle section towards the beginning of the video, thus erasing my problematic early segments. I think the video will be stronger overall this way, though more than half of it will end up coming from one episode of the series. We'll just have to see what happens once I'm done tightening up the back half action sequences. I have the raw elements placed in the order I want them, but I know that once I start cropping those elements to match beats I'll gain back a lot of available time.

Now that I'm done with my VirtualDub work and I've placed as much of the last half of the video as I can (I ran out of room!) I'm going to call it a day. Tomorrow I finish this thing once and for all.
