I don't know where my head's been at lately. I haven't wanted to really do much of anything ever since I came down sick weeks ago. I'm "all better" now but it doesn't seem to have helped much.
I'm such a dilettante. If I had any real balls I'd be staying up all night to finish (fill in the blank) because I'd be the kind of driven, capable artist that I fantasize about being. But no, halfway through my Iria video and I can't bring myself to slog through the tedious part, the assembly and reassembly and re-reassembly of little bits of video.
Or I'd build a website to be proud of. Or I'd make some killer-assed wallpapers. Or... or... -

That's where my OTHER efforts are going, though I'll probably use this journal far more often than that one. Gods, two journals to update, what happens when I get my website off the ground?
I have spent two days looking for hi-res wallpaper and the source material to make my own. I run 1280x1024 desktops at work, and the crappy 800x600 walls you find on most anime 'paper sites just make my teeth itch. (I've always loved that phrase since the first time Belgarath the Sorceror uses it in, oh, one of the Belgariad books or something. I love the Eddings use of colloqualism.)
Anyway, it's the end of a long and weird week of work, I'm going home to putter around in Photoshop, Premiere or something along those lines. I may work on the Iria video, I may make a Sailor Moon wallpaper. I just don't know yet, and like the dilettante that I am I'll just do whatever feels good at the moment. -

But I'm finally healthy and thinking clearly again. Woo hoo! Second day back in the office, first day back where I actually feel like I'm on top of the situation at long last.
I hate being sick. That is, physically unwell. (Sick in the head is something else entirely, after all.)
No, I haven't touched my video in over a week. I figured that working in Premiere while on a horrible combination of liquid cold remedies would be a very, very bad idea. I'll putter on it some tonight and see how I feel about it.
Work has been interesting lately... now that we're down to four, the Engineering department has been trying to deal with things more rationally. Yeah, that lasted a long time. Once again we reel from crisis to crisis like a drunken sailor his first day in port. (I stole that from an Eddings novel. *shrug*)
The good news? I may get a raise at year's end. Woo! -

Been sick for a few days now. Bleah. Stupid head/chest thing, you know, regular old onset-of-cold-weather illness. Grr.
I'll be back in the saddle in time for Monday morning, I suspect. Ick.
