  • Need food... 2002-05-03 11:38:37 I'm purposely starving myself so I can enjoy a nice chinese food lunch....

    So weak...
  • Damn you internet... 2002-05-02 23:59:28 My site's down again.... so is my mail server.... I really need to get and send out a few important emails amv related....

I've fucking had it with my piece of shit host. They guarantee 99.9% uptime and we go down every 2 weeks or something. Dr Bond even bought a dedicated server from them and it only up for 3 weeks before it croaked. There goes $300 and Dr Bond already sent the host an email saying how unsatisfied he was with the service and wants to discontinue.

Want to know who this crap host is?

    Avoid www.valvenetwork.com at all costs.

We're gonna go for a cheaper, more reliable service....
  • Fanime. 2002-05-01 23:46:59 Jesus, 90% of the threads on the yahoo amv list have "fanime" in them.

Makes me glad I didn't submit to there.
  • Resident Evil on Gamecube - First impressions. 2002-05-01 20:52:29 Been playing for 2 hours straight and it feels like I'm playing it for the very first time again..... Capcom did an excellent job remaking the game.

    Observations and new stuff...

The game is still on a fixed background thing like in the psx games (the area doesn't move with you like in Code Veronica) but there is more detail and environment seems more lively.

You get these new things called defense items now. What they do is when you're struggling against a zombie, you can use a defense item (Stick a knife in it's head for a while or throw a grenade down it's throat and run) and use that chance to get distance away from a zombie. Very cool feature.

A zombie isn't truly dead after you kill it. If you leave the zombie on the ground for around 2 hours or so, it mutates into a super zombie with speed and claws. These new super zombies can break down the doors if you run away into another room. Only way to deal with this is blast off their heads in advance when they're regular zombies, or set their bodies on fire with kerosene. I haven't gotten that far in the game yet to actually see a super zombie but I'll know soon...

Alot of new doors and rooms have been added..... along with new puzzles and traps... if you thought it was safe to open the front door and just see the zombie dog in the psx version..... you will truly regret opening the door in this version....

The dialouge is pretty much the same as the psx version but the voice acting has changed a bit... I sorta miss the corny acting from the psx version.

The game still scares me shitless, I end up drawing my weapon right away when I enter a new room....

I think I'll work on that english essay now....
  • BARRY, WHERE'S BARRY? 2002-05-01 16:15:26 I got Resident Evil for GameCube today, but unfortunately I didn't have time to go home since I only had 20 min till my next class started. So I had to leave it in the car and head back to school. It's been years since I've beaten this game on the psx and nearly forgot everything about it. It'll be a fun and scary experience once again...

I'm planning to get Digi Charat Solid 2 done in time for AWA since the deadline is sometime in september. That's way more than enough time even if I'm lazy.

Work on english essay or play Resident Evil all day? Which is more important? :P
