  • Weird.... stupid weird... 2002-05-29 01:02:22 Today definitely started off strange...

    After a long and boring 4 day weekend, I go back to school for my summer math class to find out the damn teacher marked down my homework.

    W...T...F

    I show all the work, get the RIGHT answer, and even re-check to see if it's done right and I get marked down because I didn't use HER method. WTF? Some math teachers are content with students using methods they used from outside sources to get the right answer and show the right work but not my teacher. She prefers that I use her stupid and long way to do such an easy problem that confuses me even more. What makes this worse is that I have to endure this shit for another month before I can make it to Anime Expo...

    Guy in my class I don't know asks me for my cell phone # so he could call me about homework because he has to leave early. He says he'll call at 12:30pm after class is over. It was 12:45 and still no call, then now it's the end of the day and still no call. His loss.

    I drive out to get my mom's car tire fixed and after I leave, I see this one guy running out of one of those places that cashes your paycheck or something. Shortly afterwards I see some other people running after him like he robbed the place which he probably did. Then the thief jumps into his broken up car and tries to get away as fast as he can. Scary thing is that he drives up behind me and there's a whole bunch of other cars are blocking the way. He makes a quick left turn into OPPOSITE TRAFFIC and then later, 2 police cars are hot on his tail.

    I feel really safe here now.

    I come home, clean up the house, take out the trash, the doorbool rings and the mailman finally drops off my long awaited Sakura con prizes.

    I got the entire 4 dvd set of The Irresponsible Captain Tylor series and 3 tapes of the best of Ranma 1/2. Very cool prizes. Thanks Adam and Eric. Too bad I couldn't watch them any further...

    I was finishing up the first tyler ep which is pretty funny stuff and then my mom comes home and starts going in rage because my 2 sisters didn't clean up their parts of the house. So I'm forced to stop watching tylor and have to help them clean up something that WASN'T MY FAULT. My mom finally takes her medication and calms down.

    So now I'm at the end of this day and I'm in the process of encoding the mpeg version of Dragon Bebop Z. I'm gonna encode a high quality version for the cds I'm gonna pass out at AX and a decent quality version for the net. I'll be going out and getting glossy cd labels so I can make these cds look at least decent. Regardless of what happens to my video at AX (What if a dog ate the tape or something?), I'll still be a good sport and meet up with the amv creators and pass out my cds free of charge.

    Man, I'm tired. 
  • Bah.. 2002-05-23 02:08:39 I dunno if I wanna enter Digi Charat Solid 2 at AWA anymore... been too lazy. I'll probably save it as a secondary video for the cons next year. Maybe by that time I can get the rest of the specials.

  • Star Wars Episode 2 2002-05-16 06:40:05 It's been 2 years and 363 days since I ditched school to watch Star Wars episode 1 for free. This time, I actually decided to see Episode 2 on the first day. I was able to get the tickets at 7:30pm in less than 5 minutes thanks to the automated credit card ticket thingwhatever. Around 10:30, my cousin and I left the house after a few long Super Smash Bros Melee games to head to the theater. I put in the Empire Strikes Back soundtrack into my car's cd player and as when I drove into the theater, I lowered down all the windows and played the theme... hehe

    There were tons of people waiting in line just to get tickets and an even bigger line for people waiting to get into the theater. Luckily my cousin and I didn't have to wait and just simply walked into the theater with no problems and we were even able to get good seats. The only long line I had to wait for was getting popcorn....

    The showing was supposed to be at 12:01am but the theater delayed it till 12:20 and when the lights dimmed, the entire crowd had to sit through 30 minutes of previews...... -_-

    Then the legenday "STAR WARS" text zoomed into the middle, the story description passed and we all prepared for bliss.....

    My thoughts on the movie?

    I liked it alot better than Episode 1 but I didn't think it was on par with episodes 4, 5, and 6.

    Things actually pick up in regard to the plot and you'll see ALOT of important references to the later movies. A few scenes were long and drawn out but not as bad as episode 1.
