  • Day 1 2002-07-04 11:57:04 Just ended day 1...... with only 5 1/2 hours of sleep....

    It was alot of fun!

    Met up with alot of my friends who I saw last year and some new people. Met alot of the AMV creators at the Rock Bottom including Eric Kobet, Vlad, Anneke, Brad DeMoss, Ermac, Wired Knight, Machine, and many others (sorry if I forgot your names but I'm half asleep...) I ended up passing out all 30 of my Bebop Z cds to everyone sitting at the tables and got a few cds from other people. My apologies for not hanging around longer but my other friends had already made arrangements to play DDR at a local arcade. I'll post more details later.

    Highlights and things I learned from Day 1..

    - Finally learned how to pronounce "Anneke"

    - Someone with a laptop was playing VicBond's Dance Dance Evangelion during registration.

    - Machine recorded some insane footage of me begging Joe Croasdaile to spare my life ^_^;;

    - Played DDR for the first time in my life.... and Preston recorded me during the whole thing... all I can say was it ended with some pretty tired and humourous results o_o

    Heading back to long beach in 5 min.... see you there! 
  • The journey begins..... 2002-07-03 19:37:21 Well... I'm off to leave for Long Beach.... Hopefully there's not too much traffic on my 40 minute trip...

  • Things to do... 2002-07-02 23:43:25 Ok, my sister and I nearly got ran over by 3 cars all driven by old people when we had to pick up my dad's medicine from Save-on..... There was a car chase on a freeway a few miles from my house and 3 cop cars were all over my neighborhood.

    Enough of that..

    Tommorow is the AX pre registration and amv creators meeting at the Rock Bottom. Can't wait to meet everyone! :)

    Things to do.....

    - Wash van
    - Get coins exchanged at Ralphs
    - Find backpack to use
    - Count money
    - Make sure friends have my cell #
    - Make sure my sis comes home early so I can leave at 5:00 pm
    - Meet up with Kamran, Tony, Preston and probably 2-3 other people
    - Register for AX
    - Meet up with the amv creators at Rock Bottom
    - Pass out cds and socialize (Hopefully I'm not too shy)

    I'll be wearing a black spiderman shirt (I know it's not anime but I gotta give spidey credit and it'll beat wearing the same DBZ shirts I wear every year to AX). Hope to see you all there! 
  • It's.... finally over... 2002-07-02 11:27:40 My summer class from hell ended last thursday and I know I did really well on the Final but I probably passed with a C. My temp power point project job is over since it was a school job and now that the 1st summer semester is over, there are no more clients. I was able to salvage $300 for AX.

    I never knew that June would be one of the toughest months I had to go through..... but I guess it was just all a long trial that would determine if I was capable of handling important things in life before AX....

    The trials are finally over and after many agonzing days.... my dream has come true.... after one long year..

    I made the AX finals.

    *Insert crazy fanboy excitment here*

    Everything was worth it... and looking back on last month, now I'm glad I underwent those things... AX finally put Bebop Z in the right category.... I know I'm gonna take alot of flak for this now but I won't hold it against anyone and this is the final competition it will be in... It'll be at Otakon as a non competing entry at my request (Thanks Matt and Duane). I got all 30 Bebop Z cds done, a new pair of shoes, and a haircut.

    I can't wait to see everyone at Long Beach this wednesday ;)

    Now that the trials of hell are over.... this is just the beginning.... but I can finally relax...

  • The final trial... 2002-06-29 16:55:37 This is it... the last trial I must undergo before AX.... which is the toughest trial of them all...

    THE TRIAL OF PATIENCE

    Every second, minute, and hour just feels so long.... and the more agonizing it gets. Many people and I are going through this difficult trial and tommorow I will see if going through this month of hell was worth it...

    I WILL MAKE IT!!!!

    *Punches stone wall repeatedly in pain*

    AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!
