JOURNAL: Castor Troy (Ryan Molina)

  • I bought the same game twice in one day! 2003-10-26 00:25:20 I drove 40 minutes to my favorite japanese town and got the region 2 dvds of the first Panyo Panyo DiGi Charat disc and the 3rd Naruto disc but I haven't watched either one of them yet.

Then I drove down the street and found THE BIGGEST GAME STORE EVER called "Gameland" Wow, nice title.... heh... but DAMN.. this place has nearly every old school japanese and USA game for every system ever made. They had a whole slew of game systems to play and I was able to play and beat Megaman 2 on the NES they had and it brought back many good memories indeed ;)

Since it was sitting there for only 18 bucks, I bought the japanese Final Fantasy 6 for the Super Famicom with the book and box in ok condition. Then I went to my local gamestop and got the Final Fantasy Anthology with FF5 and FF6 for 30 bucks without a case or book :(

Now I own the SNES FF3, the Japanese FF6, the PSX FF6 and if I get the japanese PSX FF6, I'll have every version of FF6 ever released!
  • Wow. 2003-10-18 19:01:05 Looks like my NES project videos have already consumed over 100 GB of bandwidth and it's barely half way through the month!

The NES project will soon be available on bittorrent :)

Off to get sushi and tempura ice cream! (BEST DESSERT EVER!)
  • Megaman X7. 2003-10-15 20:58:09 Well, I like it but it's not as cool as I thought it would be.

It seems that the transition from 2d-3d doesn't seem to work so well because you can barely adjust the camera angles the way you want them to. I've gotten used to the tough controls but the game could be better. :/
  • I'm being paid to surf the net for real! 2003-10-13 20:44:36 The past few days at work have been pretty slow since I do data entry and my team and I either haven't gotten much of my college's statements to input or we're working too fast :P

Since the other file clerks and I have to constantly be on stand-by just in case more papers come, we're basically being paid to surf the net and do whatever we want. Sadly we don't get download or AIM priveleges so I spend a great deal of time lurking the forums. Near the end of the month, the piles of statement papers tend to pile up so I guess this is the calm before the storm :/

I can't wait to get Megaman X7 this wednesday :)

And best of luck to Fluxy and hope it goes well for him.

Remember, anyone who's finished a track for the NES project is open to select a track for the Retro Video Game Project. I've already finished an SNES/Genesis sprite tutorial and teknoboy should be getting a capturing SNES/Genesis footage one up soon.
