It's been a while.

I finally got my Acen 2002 award in the mail today. It's a pretty cool glass triangle trophy with the powerpuff girls in sunglasses in the back and the "Best comedy/parody" text on it. Since I'm having trouble accessing hotmail, I hope Julius/Sailor Death reads this just to know that I got it, Thanks Julius! :)
2 years ago, Sakuracon sent me a piece of paper plus the whole dvd set of the Captain Tylor series and the best of Ranma VHS set. I still have yet to get my Megacon 2002 and Akon 13 prizes.... even though the guy at Akon 14 said he would give them to me :/

You know you're a cheapass when...

You rent a region 2 simpsons dvd because you don't want to pay for the region 1 :P
I had the day off today and went to my japanese town and rented the 4th Naruto R2 disc (eps 8-10) and the R2 Simpsons film festival disc just because it was there and no other place had it for rent.
Funny thing is when I was driving down, I saw this japanese donut shot called..... yup... "The Golden Donut" :P
The R2 simpsons dvd's default language is english with optional japanese and english subtitles but I decided to listen to the japanese track for a while...
It's actually not too bad :P
Lisa and Krusty's voices are pretty dead on although Homer sounds alot dumber than his american voice. Marge and Bart come off kind of high pitched and I really didn't like Mr. Burn's voice. Patty and Selma sound alot like witches. I find it extremely funny how the japanese Ned Flanders sounds like especially doing the "Okely dokely" stuff.
Kinda funny watching a "dub" of one of our shows for once as opposed to small clips.

New video game obsessions.

Out of all the systems I have, I play my NES style GBA SP the most. I take it everywhere I go when I'm out and now I never leave home without it. I wish I could take it to work but I'm constantly on the move there plus I have a comp to use in the employee rooms so it's ok.
Games recently finished....
Metroid Fusion
I really couldn't get into this at first but after having to spend 6 hours at a mall with my family, I grew pretty attached to it. My only gripes are that it tells you where to go too many times and you can't skip it plus the enemies do way too much damage to you even when you get the strongest suit. It took me 4 hours the first run and just recently I finished it with the best ending.
Metroid Zero Mission
I got into this pretty easily since it's a re-telling of the first Metroid. The structure of Zebes is pretty close to the original game with a few differences which made it a bit more confusing. The fun part is after defeating Mother Brain, you get to do what I call "Metroid Gear Solid" :P. Spend 3 and a half hours the first run and now I'm working on the speed run.
Zelda A Link to the past + the four swords adventures
A near perfect port of the SNES version although it took me a while to get used to the new control scheme. I played this quite a bit whenever I got bored at AX. Just recently a friend and I did the 4 swords adventures thing which was a ton of fun and I completed the new riddle quest. I personally thought the new dungeon they added in the game was pretty easy since I beat it in 2 hours.
Games I'm working on...
Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow
Out of the 3 Castlevania games for the GBA, I like this one the best since it's the closest to Symphony of the Night.
Advance Wars 2
I never played the first one and I can't really stand Final Fantasy Tactics advance so I gave this one a try. It ends up getting pretty addicting although pretty frustrating around the 7th mission or so.
Megaman and Bass
I beat the translated SNES rom for this a couple of years back and everything is still where I remembered it. I recently went through the hell of getting all 100 cds... again and am reliving the hell that is King's/Wily's fortress. I think the game suffers from a frustrating level design even worse than Megaman 8's and seems to be more lenient towards Bass. So far I have datas with both Megaman and Bass at the first King/Wily fortress level.
I also recently for a Flash card so I could put NES roms on it and play them on my GBA. Now I can play "Can I beat all 6 NES Megaman games in time?" on my flight to AWA :)

It begins.

Project Man-Faye begins today.
There will be no other people on the project other than myself and this will probably be the most difficult video I have ever done. Man Faye will only appear for 1 or 2 scenes in the video but I feel that the project needs to be named after him :)
If you hated the previous incarnation of Project Man-Faye, you will absolutely hate this one. I won't be innovative, it won't really be original, it won't be anything new, but I really don't care :P
Hopefully it will be done in time for Akon and after it has been revealed, I must ponder the thing that all amv creators will come to at some point in their lives.
"Teh decision!"
