  • The toughest challenge is yet to come... 2004-09-05 15:49:34 I've been through alot of hardships on my wait for AWA, especially the test of time and now the toughest challenge is about to come..

    My relatives from my mom's side of the family, aunt, uncle, and cousin are coming in on tuesday and are going to be with us for 2 weeks....

    I haven't seen any of them for 8 years back when I was 14 years old when I stayed with them in the Phillipines for 2 months. I'm actually looking forward to seeing my uncle since he's funny with his corny jokes and all. However, my aunt is everything bad about my mom x100 and her english is not very good. When I told her I was working at a hospital, she though I was injured or something. Plus her temper is alot worse than my mom's since back when I was in the phillipines, she got pissed at my sister and threatened to ship her back to the US in a crate.... o_O. I'm glad I stayed on her good side the entire trip... Then there's my cousin who was 17 when I was 14 and was a gangster back then. I remember him cursing out other cars with his friend when I was in the backseat and he would play all my SNES RPGs and name the main characters after his girlfriend. o_o

    Now I have to endure 2 weeks with them and they'll be leaving 2 days before I leave for atlanta. I think I'm acutally going to be glad to be at work and school for the next 2 weeks to keep my sanity.

    If can survive these next 2 weeks.... I can make it to AWA!

    The final test is about to begin....

    And I used to think the elitism on this site was bad 2 years ago..... :/

    As much as I'm a big fan of OC Remix, their forum is the most horrible shit ridden place on the internet. I've seen bad forums like GameFAQs and Mike Payne's (Mr Popo from the old DBZ web community) FTU forum but just the "general" forum alone on ocremix is by far 100x worse than any of the places I've ever been to. My god, if this place is bad, I really don't want to know how bad their unmodded forum is...

    I tried becoming a regular on the OC remix forums in hopes of pimping out the NES/RVG Projects since we did get into a little debate over using their remixes a few months ago which we have resolved. A few good things did come out of posting on OC remix like talking to some fans of the NES Project and talking to a girl who got to meet the creator of Mega Man but now that place has gone straight to hell.

    Most of the members are assholes who hate everything and have nothing better to do than insult people. Plus alot of them really hate amvs. My friend Preston (Majin_San) hangs out in their irc chat all the time and tells me all the people do in there is whine about how the remixes are being used for amvs. The good thing is Preston is good friends with AE, the guy who did the Airman windshear remix for my NES Project video and he's cool with the projects.

    In fact most of the remixers seem to be pretty cool with the NES/RVG Projects but they don't really post on the forums and I don't blame them. I barely see any of them post probably thanks to most of the dumbasses who flame away on them. I wouldn't mind actually sending DJ Pretzel (The webmaster of OC Remix) a dvd of the NES and RVG Projects but he seems to be pretty elusive and I heard his outlook mailbox is pretty flooded.

    The OC Remix forums are equivalent to a south LA kindergarten class with no teachers watching over the kids. Everyone is shitting their diapers and crying over spilled milk. So I gave up trying to become a regular there. However, I'll still lurk the forums just in case anyone talks about the NES/RVG Projects. I would still like the remixers to know what we're doing with their work and what their reactions are but I can't thanks to the flood of these whiney babies.

    As of now, I'll be damned before any of these turds get their hands on the RVG Project. 
  • Why is it so damn popular? 2004-08-25 21:43:30 Why the hell can't I rent Azumanga Daioh #1 from any of my anime shops? I have 2 and 3 but I refuse to watch them until I get 1....... I'm too cheapass to buy the first one if I can easily rent it.....

    I've only gone to my anime shops about 3-4 times in the past 3 months and EVERY time I go, the first one is always gone. I went today and every volume was rented out at both anime shops....

    Oh well.
