  • Taking a break 2002-01-05 02:04:10 I'm taking a break so that I can learn some new things about what I am doing wrong with my computer.

    My first 5 videoes are all MPEG files with VCD quality... a friend who knows his computer stuff is helping me learn a little more about the technical side and I want to not start my next project until I can learn exactly what it is I am doing wrong.

    As I have mentioned before, I am into making AMVs, but I really hate computers themselves. I use the computer to make the AMV... but I am only interested in the AMV... not the computer I am making it on.

    I know this is a strange view for some of the AMV creators out there who are probably very informed on computers and all those computer-like terms... but honestly, I hate them.

    Still... I hope that my friend can get some of this computer mumble into my head so I can have my AMVs appear in a better quality in the final result.

    Still... I think the break will do me good anyway...

    I apologize for listing the video I was about to start, since I won't be starting it right away now...

    but I will get right back on it before the month is over (I hope)

  • Sure Don't Feel Like Christmas Time... 2001-12-24 02:19:25 Christmas Time is here.
    It seems I will be working from 6pm to Midnight at my "normal" job for the 24th. When Christmas Day starts, I will be driving home to my freezing apartment. One would say... "Freezing? In California?" Well... it does get cold at night and there is no way to close my windows so it's just cold there all the time.

    I will be going home on the 27th by plane, and because of recent events, I am worried... it's a foolish fear, but at least understandable.

    I hope to write to you all soon again

  • HOSTING? 2001-12-23 03:54:17 A friend of mine told me he might be able to host my AMVs!!

    If this is the case, I will certainly update the infomration so people can see them. Not that interested in reviews...but I do want people to see what I have been working so hard on.

    If they like them, it's an added bonus!


    ANYWAY - 4 of my vids will be enteres into the OhayoCon contest.

  • Video 6 Under Way 2001-12-15 05:29:22 I am really risking biting off more than I can chew on this next one.

    It's Cowboy Bebop edited to Sing,Sing,Sing!!

    I am going to be very picky on this one... I want it to be great or not done by me.

    I have to be 100% thrilled with my end result, because the song should not be associaiated with a 2nd rate video.

    I may be working on this one for a while.

  • Worried 2001-12-08 08:47:06 I just saved my videoes on to a CD and I am about to mail that CD off for the contest.

    However... when I played the CD on another computer, my videoes looked bad compared to my copmputer...

    I have no idea what to do about it. I know that my videoes don't have the sharpest image quality... but they looked acceptable on my computer. I don't want people to see some grainy, pixelated crap...

    I have no idea what these will end up looking like on the screen at the convention now. I hope I didn't screw something up awful... but I probably did... because I'm not a very good computer person.

    I think I am a good editor... and I did take classes in editing while I was in college... but I am not a computer person... or... I'm a person who wants a computer to do its part of the job... I really don't have the time to figure out the guts of the thing...

    Well... maybe I'm worrying too much. It's late and there's little I can do to fix the problem anyway.
