JOURNAL: UncleMilo (Jonathan Osborne)

  • I recieved an e-mail about Mr. Oni 2002-10-27 21:05:36 Someone sent me an e-mail containing the latest journal entries from Mr. Oni.

In them, he continues to show off what a brain dead and useless person he is.

He urges that someone shoots me in the head for my opinions and then points out how I just insult people for theirs.

Does anyone see the logic here?

It simply goes like this... "I am Mr. Oni and only my views and my personal desires and feelings matter. Anyone who disagrees with me is obviously a (fill in whatever term you want on the large list of people Mr. Oni doesn't like). People who worry about STUPID things like, say, the wellfare of other people, or issues that don't crop up in my daily life so obviously they don't effect anyone else... and anyone who is concerned about those issues are just (again, fill in whatever term you like from the huge list of people Mr. Oni dislikes)"

Mr. Oni's staggering ignorance and enormous egocentric world view are just the kind of thing that does much more damage to our country than all the Terrorists out there combined. All the Terrorists can do is kill people...but stupidity like Mr. Oni's has a longer, cancerous effect on the nation and will do exponential damage.

Oh... and for Mr. Oni's benefit... YES!! Clinton did warn against Osama Bin Laden. However, many anti-Clinton people argued that his warnings and desires for action were simply attempts to distract us from the oh-so-important Monica Lewenski bull. I even have an anti-Clinton comic that defends "poor Osama Bin Laden" a poor victim of political manipulations.

Of course, people like you with shallow memories and empty minds won't remember things that happened SO LONG ago (you know... like just a few years back) and will simply come up with some counter-argument rather than just admitting... well, that was a mistake.

Hell... I know Clinton wasn't the best president we had... but he could have done some good things if he wasn't dogged each and every step by the Republicans (and really, it's just this group of Republicans who have damaged the agendas of the party... a group that seized power within the Republican party starting around the time of Reagan)

Of course... who cares that WE trained Osama Bin Laden and the Taliban when we were using them to fight the soviets? Who cares that we have set up many a dictator for our purposes and that through our actions we have caused the deaths of thousands of civillians in those nations...

Mr. Oni is of the mindset that anyone who is not an American who gets killed doesn't count. America can kill 50,000 innocents in other nations and he'll say it's OK because we're Americans.

No wonder he is so confused by people who respect life.

No wonder he wants to see me shot in the head... since it would be so much easier to live in his little pea-brained, hate-filled, fear-encompused world in which he so wants to live in... this little juvenile fantasy he has created for himself so he can feel better about himself.

Mr. Oni seems to miss an important point...
I don't insult people who have different views that I do.

I just don't happen to like Mr. Oni.

I have read enough of his hate in these forums to abandon any desire to discuss anything with him and when I hear the crap that issues forth from his rectal-like mind, I simply want to shove that smelly feces back down his throat.

Like DragonBall Z... I gave the show a chance and watched it with an open mind...

But being open-minded doesn't mean that you never develop an opinion... it just means you give everything a shot and you try to consider aspects BEFORE making a decision.

I gave DBZ a chance, I didn't like it and so I won't watch it. If someone can give me a convincing argument why I should give it a chance, I would... but with all I have seen and dealt with re: DBZ, I hate the show and will have nothing to do with it.

The same goes for Mr. Oni. He is a total ass and I have had my fill of him and I simply see no reason to even have conversations with him anymore.

I simply try to avoid him while he wants to rouse people against me and find support... because his own will is too weak. He needs to have supporting voices so he can convince himself that his views are correct and justified. He is a coward.

I don't care if anyone agrees with me or not. If they do... I am glad for the shared view, if they don't... oh well.

However... I will still vocalize what I have to say when I feel the need to say it.

When someone says "Put a bullet in Uncle Milo's head." Even if it isn't meant seriously... I sure as hell am going to respond.

    So that's it.
Thanks to the person who sent me the e-mail.

  • Using another's words 2002-10-26 16:40:40 Dear friends,

Yesterday, Larry Bennett, a 16-year old, was shot in the head after he was involved in a minor traffic accident. You probably didn't hear about it because, well, how could he be dead if he wasn't shot by The Sniper?

Yesterday, an unidentified woman was shot to death in her car in Fenton, MI. You probably didn't hear about it because she had the misfortune of not being shot by The Sniper.

Two nights ago, Charles D. Bennett, 48, an apartment security guard, was shot to death after confronting two teenagers in his parking lot in Memphis, TN. You probably didn't hear about it because the sniper was too busy sleeping in his car that night, and thus, poor Charles was not shot by The Sniper.

Yes, The Sniper has apparently been caught, so we can go back now to NOT reporting the DOZENS of gun deaths that occur every day, the ones that just aren't newsworthy because they happen in all those old boring ways -- unlike the ways of The Sniper, who was interesting and creative and exciting and scary! He played so much better on the news.

Of course, had Congress not caved in to the NRA we would have known after the first HOUR of the first day of the killings three weeks ago that those bullets were coming out of a rifle that belonged to John Williams/Mohammad. How would we know this? It's right there in the state records in New Jersey: this gun was purchased this past July, under the name of John Mohammad!

Many more people died needlessly in the days and weeks after that first hour of the shootings, and every one of their deaths could have probably been prevented had we had a national ballistics fingerprinting data base.

Thank you, Mr. Heston for this unnecessary carnage. Thank you, Mr. Bush, for supporting Mr. Heston and his group's agenda -- which protects only the criminals.

And thank you, Bushmaster Firearms, Inc., for providing the gun used to shoot the 13 people in the DC area. Bushmaster's president, Richard E. Dyke, was the Maine finance chairman of George W. Bush's 2000 Presidential campaign. According to Business Week, Dyke had to step down as Bush's finance chair "after reporters began quizzing him about his business dealings. Bushmaster Firearms Inc., is notorious for using loopholes to sidestep a 1994 federal ban on assault rifles." Bush and Bushmaster. Too tragically perfect.

If everyone reading this letter (and you now number in the millions) would share this fact with just one person who is thinking of skipping going to the polls on Nov. 5th, I believe that on Nov. 6th, Mr. Bush will have neither the Senate nor the House doing his or Heston's bidding. Americans don't like people who assist serial killers in being able to ratchet up their kills because The Sniper knows that his bullets are prohibited by law from being traced to his gun.

That, in a nutshell, is what the NRA is all about -- and I implore all responsible gun owners and hunters to join with me in putting an end to the NRA agenda once and for all. Don't give Bush his majority on November 5th. He's already seen to it that his cronies in big business have wiped out your 401 (K), and they are doing their best to see that you are left with no pension at all. That alone should be reason enough to NOT pull a single lever for a Republican on Nov. 5th. Send a message. Do something brave.

  • Wow! That statue is cool 2002-09-24 01:07:05 Yay!

    I won an Asuka!

It's the award they give for the AMVs at NDK.

I got it for "Cowboy Swing" and better still, I won the audience favorite!

I think all the AMVs except for one deserved the Asuka's they got... oh... and the Video Game AMV was pretty cool too, but they had a golden joystick award for that one.

Anyway... I am very happy to have won the award... and all 3 AMVs I submitted passed the first cut and were in the contest! WOO-HOO!

NDK was great, but I'll have to talk about that later.

  • And so it comes again... 2002-09-15 07:49:52 Yes indeed...

it is my 33rd Birthday today. I was born at 11:55pm in Boston, Massachusetts on Sept.15th.

It's amazing how much happened since then.

When I was 11 or 12 I joined the "Battle of the Planets" fan club.
During Jr. High and High School I rushed home to make sure I saw the next episode of Star Blazers... later, I was a fan of Robotech.

In college, I met other anime fans... discovered the Dirty Pair TV series and later, met members of the Boston Japanination Society (BJS) and saw Akira a full year before it was released in the US.

Saw Castle in the Sky: Laputa (which was the first Miyazaki film I ever saw) at a special screening over at MIT in Cambridge.

Through the BJS, I became friends with Neil Nadelman, who would eventually go from being a fan-subtitler to a professional translator for many anime titles.

My ex-roommate (and ex-friend) was a man who despised all the works of Rumiko Takahashi and thanks to him, I would never have seen Ranma 1/2... until another friend of mine forced me to see it. Thanks to him, I became a huge Ranma fan (and I would later introduce many others to Ranma and get them into anime)

I moved to California in 1995 and converted many people to anime.

In 1996, I went to my first Anime Expo. (Which was really my first Anime Convention)

1998 - I met Trish Ledoux (sp?) and didn't know it was her. I spent about half an hour telling her how much I loved Ranma 1/2 and just going on and on about it before I realized who she was!

In 1999, thanks to Neil Nadelman, I was able to land my first voice acting job. (It took 2 years before I was given the chance)

My friend Brian moved out to California and the two of us watched the VHS tapes of Evangelion as they came out. After each tape, we would have conversations that went on for two to four hours... after seeing the last tape, we talked over 6 hours about the show and all the things we got out of it (and couldn't believe that all these people were saying how we would hate the show)

Went to A-Kon X (my first A-Kon) and got to meet some of the voice actors from Star Blazers! It was so wierd having every-day conversations with the people whom I used to hero worship when I was 13 - 15...

In 2000, I was a guest at Anime Expo (which shocked the hell out of me).

In 2001, David Rife had flown me out to Ohio for OhayoCon... the first Convention out of California where I was a guest. By this convention, I was becoming recognized by many of the convention regulars (like Steve Bennett and Tiffany Grant)

In 2001 I made my first Anime Music Vide "Lurking in the Shadows"

    In 2001 I joined AMV.ORG

by the end of 2001 I had been a guest at Ohayo Con (OH), Fanime (CA), A-Con (TX), Anime Expo (CA), and Ani-Magic (CA)...

In 2002, my AMV "Flash Before Your Eyes" won at the OhayoCon AMV contest.

I have begun writing reviews for Anime Tourist and starting serious work on getting my comic book published.

Just a few days ago, I was able to attend the sneak preview of Spirited Away, where I got to actually see Miyazaki and hear this master speak.

Now I am 33 and in a few days I will be flying out to Colorado for my first Nan-Desu-Kon.

While I am not a big star in anime at all, I am so very thankful that I have had the opportunities that I have and I am glad that that I have been able to be part of (and continue to be part of) the anime community...

from a young kid with his official membership in the "Battle of the Planets" fan club to being a Voice Actor and possibly a comic book writer and who knows what else the future has in store for me.

Somedays are good and some are not... but, you just gotta keep moving...

Tonight, I'm havin' some cake! :)
