Wow, Mr. Oni is stupid
2002-11-09 13:45:56
I was informed that Mr. Oni wrote somewhere in the Forum that he hates me because I want to see laws enforced concerning gun control.
He says that he wants to shoot me because I have the nerve to want gun control laws.
Mr. Oni is proving my argument. He is showing how idiots with no sense of self-control would just go about murdering people they don't like... and according to the pea-brained Mr. Oni, murder isn't a real crime, but my not having a gun to defend myself against him would be the real crime.
I also wonder why Mr. Oni keeps bringing me up. I only write anti-Mr. Oni things when I happen to read one of his inane comments or when I am informed of inane things he has said about me.
The man is a neanderthal... he is still at the age of smashing things and killing. Sadly... many people haven't gotten past that idea.
The Taliban believe their viewpoint is the only one worth having and so they kill all those who don't believe the systems the Taliban have.
Mr. Oni wants to shoot anyone he doesn't like and anyone who disagrees with them.
Do you see a differencce? I sure don't.
Mr. Oni's tiny and pathetic world-view will only lead to the ruination of our nation. People like him are proof of how fat America still needs to go before we can truly be as great a country as we are capable of becoming.
Hate-mongers like Mr. Oni... people who just want to kill and eliminate anyone who doesn't fit into their miniscule zone of tolerance... are an obstacle that can only be overcome by an improvement in our educational system, an emphasis on ethics, and a new sense of priorities.
The current government has been wanting us to believe that money is all important... that people's lives are secondary to making a profit. We have seen the results again and again in this nation. Company heads neglecting their own workers for the sake of their own profit, the collapse of school systems and health systems just so people can have some more cash in their own pockets. The fall in eduaction and the damage to our communities results in despair and hopelessness and an increased crime rate. People stop caring about other people all together and then you get little sacks of shit like Mr. Oni who spouts out the current American anthem of "me first and fuck all the rest of you."
Me first is the view point of a baby. Babies are selfish because that's all they know how to be. Rising from baby to man is to recognize the importance of respecting others and knowing how to balance your own needs while respecting the people of your communities.
A person who has so much hate, as Mr. Oni has in his many posts talking about how he hates this person or those people, demonstrates a very anti-American viewpoint. He has no interest in the freedoms of others... he has no concept of "WE THE PEOPLE"... he only knows what his world should be like.
He wants his own little baby crib where everything caters to his views and his ideas and where no concepts that violate his little tender world-view canget in.
The arguments he tries to use against people like me are useless, because he doesn't even understand the concept of people who are trying to support the community. He still tries to look at things as individualistic desires.
I don't complain about guns because I am anti-gun. I just know what uncontrolled gun laws are doing to the nation. I see suffering in neighborhoods I have never been in, nor will I ever live in, but I feel pain for these people none-the-less. I worry about the kind of world that people will live in years and years after I have died. I worry about our society losing all the knowledge that we have available to us.
I hear stories of whole communities wiped out so some guy can pocket some more cash and I get ill. How can anyone think that destroying a whole community benefits our country? How can anyone think that any amount of money earned makes up for the hopelessness created by that action?
If someone came up to you and said "here's a town of 20,000 People you've never met. We can give you 10 million dollars, but for you to get it, we have to destroy the lives of all these people."
Someone like me would never take that money.
Someone like Mr. Oni wouldn't think twice in taking it.
What a shame that there are such wastes of human life in this nation bringing us down with thier ignorance and lack of concern for others.
What a shame indeed.

Tired of the stupid

When Clinton ended his term, we were at peace, we had a surplus of wealth, the economy was stable and unemployment was down.
Under Bush's ill-gotten regime, Bush has lost the surplus, the economy is crumbling, unemployment is up, and he is trying to make us into the world's bully, starting a War that most nations have shown their disapproval of.
When the Taliban attacked, everyone was ready to support us in our attack on Afghanistan to liberate it from Taliban control... but what did we do to help the nation of Afghanistan? I mean... we gave them the Taliban to begin with... and so we have caused the suffering and torture of innocent lives... but who cares? After all... since the Taliban killed 3000 Americans, who cares how many citizens in OTHER nations have been killed by the Dictators we have set up in nations about the world (it's many, many more thousands than the number that died at the destruction of the World Trade Center, I'll tell you)
Our education system is a disgrace, our nation is collapsing from within, the ideals our nation stands for are not part of the agenda of this TYRANT wannabe.
As far as I can tell, many of the people of America just don't want to know what's going on anymore. They don't want to be informed, they don't want to hear about problems going on in this nation and seem to want to just squeeze their eyes shut and jam their fingers in their ears and scream out that AMERICA IS THE BEST! mantra... even if we have a lot that needs fixing.
The Democrats have made a pathetic showing here. There are issues that need to have been brought up, but the Democrats have become timid... or even worse... some are just Republicans in Democratic clothing.
The sad outcome of this race spells disaster for our nation.

More good words from another source...

The Republicans as usual, have screwed everything up, only this time they've been more brazen, arrogant and greedy than usual. Widespread corporate corruption, Cheney's secretive energy plan, a $1.6 trillion tax cut, a crumbling economy, increases in unemployment, a return to a national deficit, the destruction of civil liberties, war without end... the list goes on and on. You'd think all this would be enough to spell the end of the Republican Party's rule in Washington, but then you remember the opposition: the Democrats.
Earlier this year, it looked like the Democrats might easily sweep through the House, and maybe even pick up a few extra seats in the Senate. We are now less than a month from the November 5 election, and where do we stand? The Democrats have only a slim chance of taking control of the House, and could even lose the Senate--no thanks to Torricelli in New Jersey. How did they let this happen? The same way they lost the White House in 2000. They continue to offer little more than muted opposition, they don't stand up for what they believe in, and worse, they don't fight for their beliefs when challenged. Look at the Senate Majority Leader and the House Minority Leader--leaders of the party. Daschle and Gephardt, who both seem to think they'd make a good president in 2004, spent the entire year speaking out against Bush, only to back down as soon as Republicans start yelling about a lack of patriotism. The vote for war on Iraq is only the latest example. Gephardt almost single-handedly gave the House to the administration chickenhawks, and Daschle questioned the war--correctly--before ultimately voting for it. The Democrats seem to work hard at alienating the left and confusing the center to the point that they lose elections they should easily win.
Which brings us to this election. In almost 200 House races and a third of the Senate races, the Democrats couldn't even find a capable candidate to run against the Republican. Those races are decided. But there are still 76 seats in the House and 18 in the Senate that could go either way. Who knows, maybe a Democratic Congress will inspire the Party to take a stand and start actually fighting Bush. If nothing else, they could take control, fail miserably, and in two more years, the third party (or even fourth!) movement will just be that much stronger. We can't lose!
====================================
Now for a change... my words...
Millions of our dollars were wasted by the Republicans to chase Clinton on Whitewater... and it was a witch hunt. Then there was the time and money wasted on Monica... I mean... come on... HAVING AN AFFAIR IS NOT A CRIME...
Sure... Clinton messing with Monica was bad judgement, but the Republicans were acting like it was the crime of the century.... OVER 100 FBI agents were being used on this case... guys who could have been dealing with real issues...
The Republicans GROUND our nation to a hault... they IGNORED Clinton's warnings about Osama Bin Laden...
Now that Bush has stolen the White House (and if you read the facts about all the crap the Republicans pulled... denying THOUSANDS the right to vote... manipulating votes connected with certain military bases)
Of course, people seem rather quiet about the dirty laundry going on in Bush's White House... Imagine if the Democrats were as bad-mannered as the Republicans and went after them tooth and nail like they did against Clinton. They seem shocked when the shoe is on the other foot... Bush starts talking about voices of protest as being unpatriotic... so I suppose all those Republicans dogging Clinton were just as unpatriotic... or is Patriotism only valid if you support the current beliefs of those representing the Republican Party?
That seems to be views of George W. and his collection of thugs. Personally, I agree with those who have stated that we need the UN to send in forces to liberate us from this tyrant wannabe.
Bring down these hypocrites!
Vote on Nov 5th!!

Spreading the word...

A Letter that I am in support of, so I thought I would post it here...
Dear Mr. Heston:
When you showed up in Denver to hold your pro-gun rally just days after the massacre at nearby Columbine High School, the nation was shocked at your incredible insensitivity to those who had just lost loved ones.
When you came to Flint to hold another rally in the months after a 6-year old boy shot a 6-year old girl at a nearby elementary school, the community was stunned by your desire to rub its face in its grief.
But your announcement that you are on your way to Tucson today, just 48 hours after a student at the University of Arizona shot and killed three professors and then himself, to hold ANOTHER big pro-gun celebration -- this time to get out the vote for the NRA-backed Republican running for Congress -- well, sir, I have to ask you: Have you no shame?
I am asking that you not go to Tucson today. Do not cause any more grief, any more pain. Let the relatives and friends of the deceased mourn. Why show up to play the role of the bully, kicking these good people when they are down, just so you can prove that you have a right to your big, bad guns? These are not the actions of a once brave and decent man. They are the acts of a coward, as no man of courage would think of picking on his fellow citizens when they are so consumed with tragedy.
Obviously, you couldn't care less. Because to you, The Gun is supreme -- and wherever it is used to kill multiple people (preferably at a school), there shall we find you gloating about some misbegotten right you think you have to own a device that is designed to eliminate human life.
Well, Mr. Heston, this time I think you have crossed the line. I hope that your efforts as a gun supremacist -- you are now, I understand, in the middle of a 12-state tour to help elect Republicans -- backfire on you in the surest way that it can: total rejection of you, the NRA, and the candidates you back come next Tuesday. The American people have had enough.
To the people of Tucson and the students at the University of Arizona, I am so sorry for the tragedy you have suffered, and I feel terribly sad that you will have to endure the sight of Charlton Heston and his gun nuts today. Take some solace in knowing that your fellow Americans by an overwhelming margin want tough gun laws -- and that the day of obtaining them is not far away. There is one small way to make sure Heston and the NRA are stopped in their tracks -- just check out the website of the man (http://www.grijalva2002.com/) they have come to Tucson to defeat. Let them pack their guns -- we will pack the polls!

To the people that can't read
2002-10-27 21:20:24
The 2nd Amendment is not the issue of the letter that I posted.
The NRA under the leadership of extremists is the issue...
If you read the letter, it urges GUN OWNERS and HUNTERS to help fight the NRA's agenda...
People just get so confused on this...
An automobile needs a license and a registration...
Why are people so against licenses and registrations for firearms?
Why do people feel that if ANY controls are put on guns, they instantly assume it means the denial of OWNING a gun?
Controls on automobiles have not denied the nation the use of cars and trucks? SO why would similar controls demy the ownership of a gun?
I for one think guns are more dangerous than cars, because cars aren't DESIGNED to kill(even though it is easy to kill someone with a car or get killed in a car from negligance)
Guns ARE designed to kill... and therefore should have stronger regs on them than cars... but strong regs are NOT denial of the ability to OWN a firearm...
If you understood english, control does not mean denial and therefore this is not an attack on the 2nd Ammendment's provision that we have a right to bear arms.
If you learned to read, this wouldn't be such a problem.
