740 It's my birthday!

I am 17 years and 5 hours old. How very interesting. Doesn't really feel like it. I guess that's the case with every birthday. "Am I really that old? I don't feel any different."
Man, I went to bed depressed last night, but today was better than I thought it would be. Our presentation in History went well, I think. I was one of the two people of our group actually talking about our research, and I didn't have to stare at the powerpoint, I knew the info. So I felt good. And if it wasn't as good as I thought, well, it couldn't be so bad. Sociology was interesting - watched an old 60 minutes episode on Anthrax. After taking the quick exam on deviance and crime. Easy.

Now it's given me Come Clean by Hilary Duff... okay, sometimes it's questionable. Hmm... not bad. Not as 'peppy' as I expected.
Finished the Crucible movie in English. God, it made me so mad! Humans are a cruel and stupid species. Anyway...
My choir isn't involved in the Holiday show, so we're going to do some experiments. We're even going to try to compose our own song. I like this idea.
Anime club was fun. I couldn't play FullMoon wo Sagashite on the computer (fansub ;_;), but we watched Fruits Basket for a while. I'm lending it to this girl who's never seen the anime. She was so happy, but I insisted anyway - all fans of the manga or comedy, or shojo in general must see this series. No question. She also will try cleaning the disc, because we noticed some weird scratches on the back. Hope it's okay.

great, wasted a journal space. Fuck all. Anyway.
Great dinner with really weird meats. Rattlesnake, alligator, ostrich, mealworms with creme brulee. What an experience. And all the food was fantastic (except the mealworms. That was odd. To be honest, they had very little flavor). And at the end, we saw a beautiful shooting star - all rainbow-ish. And then a deer, and a raccoon on the drive home. Raccoon! Raccoon! I'm still a little tipsy.
In FFVII, I'm on my way to Rocket Town - looking forward to meeting Cid.
Le Portrait de Petite Cossette is very strange. I don't quite understand the story, and I think they focused a little too much on making it "artistic." Random shots of running faucets and quick-as-light headshots between five characters are overdoing it. Still, provides interesting material for AMVs. What have people done here?
Still watching FMA Shambala in increments. Just realized - Ed has a thing for Indian/ dark-skinned girls, or he's just champion of the persecuted. Whatever. I'm tired now.

I am a little stressed. And disappointed with myself. I didn't finish all the homework I wanted to today. I still have to do a sheet for French, a few pages for Math, read a 40-page chapter from my history book and study for the quarter exam if I have time, read a chapter in the physics book and answer questions, and do definitions for English. And one whole day to do them. But I don't want to...

I *found* a copy of the FullMetal Alchemist movie online - the guy took a video of the theatre screen. Resolution and general quality sucks, but I love the movie so far. It's funny! "Nii-san!!" And the hug... nearly breaks his back... XD. And sad. I like Noah too.
Raise your hand if you've seen Hyper Police. If you haven't, you should. It's funny, and the last few discs are great! From the introduction of Sakunoshin on, the show is really something.

'Cause it's Halloween night, and it was fun. And my feet hurt now.
And I passed out before I could finish the entry. My feet still hurt, and I have candy. And a lot of homework. And my first lesson with the local driving school in a few hours. And PALs tomorrow. Anyone feeling like curling into a ball and groaning yet?
Song of the moment is Eternal Flame by the Bangles. Insane, yes. Usually I consider this song too sappy for casual listening. Anyway, about Halloween.
Our Anime club held a party after school and urged us to Cosplay. I threw together a long skirt, valeur shirt, braided wig and veiled witch's hat - Fruba no Hanajima! Kinda. Sorta. I got rid of the wig after 20 minutes because it wouldn't stop itching - besides, I don't like having my hair tied back. So I was a "witch in mourning" (to quote my friend). It was fun. The only thing missing was long black lace gloves... Sigh.
The party was great! I brought a lot of anime to watch, but we spent most of the time on karaoke - love it! I was also happy to see this guy I knew (I think he was dressed as the Crow) but we didn't talk.
I think I take myself too seriously.
There weren't many trickortreaters in the neighborhood, surprisingly - I guess they all went to the area near the local elementary school. Not many great decorations either. The highlight of the night was when my friends (age 16 Cris and her age 10 otouto and age 7imouto) and I went down this dark drive to a house that always had great decorations in the past. Cris went first, so this guy in a hairy mask jumped out at her and she punched him. It was so funny, 'cause she felt so bad about it afterwards. I only regret that I was too far behind them to really see.
And so ends my sojourn of Oct 31, 2005. Incidentally, that was Papa's birthday. I should probably call Nana to see how she's doing.
