  • Thanksgiving 2004-11-25 18:51:46 I'm in New York now, with relatives - I have snuck onto my cousin's computer and am spending the 'party' here. Until dinner, anyway. Maybe this is a bad thing to do, but... there's nothing else to do.
    I really need to put out some stuff and get established here. Maybe I'll resort to WMM, just to finish the vid sooner, I dunno. Maybe figure out how to edit banners... those would be fun.
    I watched the last few episodes of CardCaptor Sakura - now the vids make more sense. General thoughts: I like the manga better, but the story's still cute as anything.
    Mom and I are singing Bohemian Rhapsody ^_^. Just to say it, Evangelion Opus is a very impressive video, and I would love to see more from that editor if he ever comes back online.

  • Birthday 2004-11-20 12:12:00 It's my 16th tomorrow. Woot.
    I dunno what we're gonna do - Mom reserved for a brunch, and my friend talked about going "guy-hunting," but I dunno what'll happen, really. One of our dear idiot peers (I hesistate to say friend) ran away yesterday. I'm not that concerned - she's done stupid shit for a long time, so I've given up worrying - but my friend probably is. And that worries me.
    Not much else is new - not a lot of homework, amazingly, friend lent me Saiyuki vol1, just saw Life As A House (lovely!) and am doing more of my "story-creating, but not writing." Fun fun.
    I'm gonna work on Mukatsuku now. All I can do at this point is finish ripping clips, since I don't want to work with WMM and my linux box is still under construction. C'est la vie.

    So cool. And my parents and I just got back from a half-hour of banging up imaginary cars in the parking lot of their office building. Steering is harder than it seems. We're gonna practice more this afternoon. I can't wait to tell my friends!
    A friend's dad just got ahold of a copy of Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind - I'm looking forward to finally watching it. The manga was amazing, so I have good hopes for this. Sadly, the fansub only translated 2 lines in the first 10 minutes.... Some other great movies: The Incredibles (very funny and 'mature' for a kids' movie) and Chasing Amy (raunchy humor, but surprisingly enlightened, much better than expected).
    Yanyan...what else is new... Oh, there's a guy who I think is interested in me. Unfortunately, he's obsessed with video games and isn't very attractive. He's nice, but I don't know that we have much in common. I lent him Akira. I hope he had the sense to watch the original Japanese, 'cause the dub was sad...
    Oh, interesting trend I noticed with Seki Tomokasu - in many of his roles, the guy opposite him is always named Yuki.
    Sohma Kyo - Sohma Yuki
    Shindo Shuichi - Yuki Eiri
    Kinomoto Toya - Tsukishiro Yukito
    There's also a Yuki in Infinite Ryvius and something else, but I haven't seen those, so I don't know. But it's still interesting to see.

    My parents and I went to a concert last night at the Birchmere - The Four Bitchin Babes. Camille West, Debi Smith, Sally Fingerette, and Nancy Moran, this time. Apparently Camille is moving on - how sad. She was the comedy writer of the group, hilarious, raunchy stuff. These girls are fantastic singers!
    As I was listening to them, I kept thinking, "Okay, now what anime could go to _this_ song?" Got some interesting results, but I dunno if I'll act on any. Though it would be great to have some AMVs to their stuff. Maybe "Little Stars"....
