  • I'm home !_! 2005-07-14 11:19:34 And I'm watching AMVs again! YAY. Lust Lives a Lie playing now. ~_~
    To do: pack for a small trip to Granny's this weekend (I just got back... let me rest... ;_;), burn CDs, e-mail everybody from GYLC, write more for my fanfic (I have such fun!!), take notes for this other story I had ideas for (a changeling story), and start up Little Sister. Wooh.
    On a side note, I must learn to read German now, because I came home from Vienna with a lot of manga... it's so much fun. Also got the Oh My Goddess OVAs on DVD. In a pretty box. With lots of pictures. Yahoo!
    Now I should probably get to work. See you all later!!

  • Hello from Budapest!!! 2005-07-09 16:59:41 I am alive, I love Prague, and I feel really intimidated by all the future leaders of the world as I bumble along, keeping quiet and inwardly screaming. Yeah.
    For some reason, this keyboard is screwy. But it{s the first I{ve had in a week, so I{m not complaining.
    The people in the conference are nice, when I{m not hiding from them and hating myself.
    ... I{ll elaborate on this later. When I can. Must go now.. ;_;

    I hope this isn't wasted on me.
    Anyway, so long. "I'll see you again, ne?" And I'll be better. I doubt that I'll gain any profound wisdom, but it'll be something.
    ... I'm leaving this as a reminder to myself when I get home. Aside from the writing, Little Sister will be my top priority. Zettai!

I'm leaving for Europe tomorrow, and I'm spending all my free time hunting online for the contents of the centuries old book The Seven Defenses of Paracelsus. Paracelsus is regarded as the father of Toxicology; he was a doctor/astrology/etc as well as alchemist who traveled far and wide and came up with a lot of good theories on disease and such. He was also known as Philippus Aureolus Theophrastus Bombastus von Hohenheim. Hohenheim, as in Hohenheim Elric. Ok Ok, this was known already, but what I didn't know was about his Seven Defenses "Against Those Who Would Seek to Destroy Me." More likely than not, this is the basis of the Seven Sins' Ultimate Weapons. The Eye, the Halberd, the Shield, the Mask, and three others THAT I CAN'T FIGURE OUT BECAUSE THERE IS NO BLOODY WEBSITE ON WHAT THE SEVEN DEFENSES *ARE*!!!!!
    I was trying to find out about the seven weapons for my fanfic... but it's a real pisser. Now I'm researching more on alchemy and Hohenheim while trying to figure out how to use this info to my literary advantage. Disregarding this, it's actually really interesting stuff. And this is the most inopportune time to pick it up, since I should be packing for my trip. Gah.
    It seems that Sammy never noticed my suggestion. Pity.
    Watching Shattered - FMA to Boulevard of Broken Dreams. Very cool.
    I spent most of the day shopping with Mom for "professional attire" for the GYLC trip. We got some good stuff, and it left me in a mood that makes me cry "PINK" every time I look at something cute in that color. Sigh. I never thought it would come to this... ^_^ T_T
    Not much else to say. Ed rules. And I think my fic shall be fantastic.

    ANd I'm just thinking: if he doesn't like it, why not do something about it. He just recently left a rant about this site's capturing guides, saying it's too complicated ("no wonder all noobs are making bad videos these days"). Think he has a point about it being complicated...
    Suggestion: Instead of complaining about other people's attempts, why not write his own guide? If he can really make it less complicated, it'd be a great help! And theoretically, the quality of vids on the site will improve. A win-win sitch, no? More likely the noobs aren't worthy of being taught... sigh. Just an idea.
    O boy. And I haven't released my first vid yet... I worry for Little Sister's safety...
    *shrug* Think about it.
