JOURNAL: bubblehead

  • Brilliance! 2004-07-15 11:41:55 I have sheer brilliance to put in my video description for my "Izumi's Pain" re-make! I must do this! :D LOL I am SO going to love this!

    Seriously though, I'm liking my old videos more and more, even Izumi's Pain which, as you might be aware, I didn't really like at the time. It still has flaws, but the second version will be MUCH better and MUCH different. I'm still working on the specifics. I kinda got inspired though, watching "Strike On" (my favorite Princess Nine video), and just thinking and stuff.

    ...also, I've been liking drama vids more and more, which helps.

    ...haven't started my second AMV Hell 3 segment yet... it'll be awhile.
  • Change of Plans 2004-07-14 17:46:16 Alright, my old project idea, "TSAIS" isn't happening. At least not yet. However, a remake of "Izumi's Pain", my second video, is sounding better and better, though at one point I really wanted nothing more to do with it. ^^;

    Anyway though, this time I would (hopefully) use the whole song, or more of it anyway, since I finally have an idea for the beginning of the song, which really changes the whole concept. I'd bring more character's into it, notably Izumi's mother (Chairman Himuro) and Ryo's father (Hidehiko Hayakawa. It would have more of a story generally, as well as being more linear, and probably easier for people who haven't seen the anime to understand. The lyric sync will probably be a tad less literal. I haven't started it yet, but it should be interesting. It won't be Izumi's Pain anymore, though; it'll be broader than that.

    ...also, I've been adding to my webpage. A new section should go up today.
  • Now time to pimp my webpage 2004-07-05 20:51:04 It's at http://www.geocities.com/hugsatotoro/

    It has a very small screenshots gallery (more later), a piece of writing on the ethics of fansubs vs. bootlegs, and a link back here ^^;

    A links page is coming as are anime reviews. ^______^

    There's no background and it's generally still kind of lame, but at least there's stuff on it now. It was made using the yahoo pagebuilder, and sadly, because it's geocities, there are ads.

    There's also a visitor counter (all previous visits are me, as the page can't distinguish between users apparently).
  • Uninspired Again 2004-07-05 18:56:07 ...couldn't think of a title.

    My new video idea got approved, which left me with the somewhat arduous task of converting .wma to .wav. Y'see, I have the CD, but it won't let me rip a .wav file off of it like I usually would, so I used Windows Media Player to rip an unprotected, losslessly compressed .wma file from it, which I then converted, following AD and ErMaC's guide. Man that guide is awesome. I want to say... "It is teh awesome". LOL I almost never say teh, but I had to. Just had to. ^__________^

    Haven't played Suikoden III today, but yesterday I was really stuck, playing Geddoe's first chapter, there's this really tough monster, the "twin snake", which has been killing me, in spite of me following a walkthrough I found on it. I have six chars, all of them level 32, with level seven weapons and the best armor I could find in the Great Hollow, and I'm hoping I can beat it, since I've leveled up and upgraded my weapons and armor and increased their skills. I don't even WANT to play as Geddoe, just Chris or Hugo, but the creators of Suikoden had to be stupid and make you have to play all three characters' first three chapters before you can play level four for any of them. I mean, sure, it's KIND of interesting, finding out more about the whole strange situation which I didn't find out before, but I don't like Geddoe. He doesn't seem to have any redeeming qualities, really, and doesn't appeal to me at all. I wish I had his three levels over with already. The only good things about him are that he doesn't have an annoying high-strung horse like Chris, nor does he look blurry when running on foot, the way she does.

    I also have a geocities website, which consists of a counter and some text. I won't link to it here, b/c it's very under construction.
  • Yay! A response! 2004-07-03 14:32:36 i finally got a response about my video. They said it's great but the audio still has problems so they asked me to ftp them my audio clips, which I did. I'm going to send in a new idea soon. See if they'll approve it. Even if they don't, my AMV Hell segment which I already finished is easily the best video I've ever made, which is a touch surprising, b/c it's my first comedy and first lipsync. But then it's not surprising, because it continues my upward trend with the quality. it's also the first video I really enjoyed editing.

    I'm so psyched about the AMV Hell 3 project. I don't know anything about the other tracks, but they'll probably be great. I'm hoping it'll be like the first AMV Hell (the 2nd wasn't as good) except longer.

    Oh, I also found out how Chris got to Chisha Village (Suikoden 3). I love plot twists!

    So long.
