So I wanted to reverse some footage for my newest video than I'm working on. Windows Movie Maker 2 doesn't have a way, and I don't know code so I can't write a plugin (which would probably take longer than I'd want to spend even if I knew code. So I tried virtualdub. No luck there either. Then I read up on avisynth (still don't know much about it x_x) and found out it has a built-in reverse filter. I figured it was what I wanted, but I didn't know how to use it. So, not thinking it would work, I made a basic .avs file with an AVISource command, and tacked Reverse (just the word, nothing else) on the end and imported it into Virtualdub, and, lo and behold, it worked! And the reversed footage it exactly what I needed, too. ^_^ So now I'm all proud of myself. Sometimes the smallest victories are the sweetest. ^_^

Artificial Light has recieved 100 star ratings, and the star average is the highest it's ever been, at 3.18. Hoping my next vid can do better than that, though. ;) It's looking good now, anyway.

OS-tan is the OS girls, like in troubled_windows. Spent part of the afternoon reading OS girls comics and looking at the "official" site, mapping it out by trying all the links (it would be in Japanese but seems to be broken so it comes out in gibberish and I can't use babelfish on it). Found a Chiyo-chan Linux girl. they have girls for DOS, all the versions of Windows including Longhorn, Lindows, Linux, and on another site, Mac OS 9 and 10 if nothing else. I think I'll burn a CD with this stuff and give it to my cousin the anime fan/linux advocate for Christmas. Plus I'll put some AMVs and wallpapers and such on it, and probably make him a physical card. Free, which is good cause I don't have much money (still no job). Anyways, some of this stuff is really funny. I have yet to check it all out but at least now I know where everything is.
Worked on my video a bit, but not much.

I'm editing my newest video (in Movie Maker. blargh.), and I put in a clip so I could trim it down and hit play to hear the song at that point. Right at the beginning of this clip, the main character of the anime in question is talking, right? So it *happened* to synch up perfectly with the vocals of the song, and I thought it was pretty funny (especially since the singer is femal and the character's a guy). Sadly, it doesn't work out with the video I'm making (not a comedy... I only wish it was). So yeah.

Yeah, feels like it doesn't matter. Classic depression, I know. Plus I'm feeling snappish. And secretive, in a way, from those who know me in real life. Don't feel like you're being snubbed. That's just the way it is. I don't know any of you. So you have little direct effect upon my life, though you may have indirect effect. Bah. I'm changing the subject.
I've been feeling depressed. Maybe it's the back-to-school blues, and feeling like I didn't get enough done this summer, which is stupid. I had fun, didn't I? That should be enough, shouldn't it? I have all these stupid expectations of myself and other stuff which I probably got from the American culture or something, and I hate it. Screw duty. Screw it, I say! That and expectations!
But maybe I'm just shifting blame. Oh, I always have a way of making myself feel worse. That's backwards, I think.
Oh well, I'm getting nowhere. I didn't mention it, but I'm feeling restless. See ya.
