Well, at least Mum has given in to letting me buy the 2nd Rurouni Kenshin boxset. Although I had to go halves with Cassie, but still....

Watched almost all of the 1st series of Slayers last weekend. Geez, that was funny. Koala bit was hilarious (coming from an Australian).
Did a fashion parade for Japanese. Had to wear a short white skirt, white top, white knee-high socks, and get this: WINGS! Of all the things I could dress up in. But it was ok, because Cassie and I insulted each other in Japanese throughout the whole parade.
C: Briar san wa totemo baka desu ne?
B: Na-NANI!?
C: Demo, Briar san wa totemo kirei desu.
Then I'd say:
B: Cassandra san wa totemo baka to totemo menikui desu.
C: NANI!?
B: Aa! Iie! Iie! Nan demonai! Daijoubu! *mutters* Cassandra chan-
C: CHAN NI SHINAI DE!
B: SAN waaaaaaaa... *thinks* totemooooo.... kawaii desu ne?
C: KAWAII!? WATASHI WA KAWAKUNAI!
B: hai, hai! *agrees* kawakunai...
If you don't speak/read Japanese, She was saying that I was very stupid, but very pretty. Then I said she was stupid and ugly. Cassie said WHAT? I said oh! No, no! It's nothing. Everything's fine! Cassandra-chan (you said chan for kids' names).
Cassie: DON'T CALL ME CHAN!
Me: SAN (usually for adults) is.... very... cute, don't you think?
Cassie: CUTE!? I'M NOT CUTE!
Me: Yes! Yes! *in agreement* you're not cute...
Oh what fun I have!
I'm doing this great English project. We have to design a product, and make a prototype. My friend Yas and I are doing a new anime! And I'm going to make an anime music video for the commercial...
...Only problem is I don't have any video-making programs, I don't have a scanner for the images I've drawn, I don't have a CD/DVD burner for the commercial AND it's due in 3 weeks...
...I'll figure it out.............hopefully -

Cassie keeps 'forgetting' to ask her Mum whether I can work for her.
Now, is she trying to give me a hint? That I have no chance at it anyway?

No matter how much I try, I can't imagine a life without anime, it just doesn't appeal... *sobs*
.....and now I'm going to have to watch as my friends by all the good ones before I even get a job! And who was the one who introduced it to them? Yeah, that's right, ME!!!

*sigh* still haven't found a job. I might be working for my best friends parents at the local markets... hehe... which is once a month...
aw man... this sucks...
Cassie (the best friend) said she could buy the anime I want, then when I get a job I could buy it off her...

......................So I declined, but....................that leaves my situation....
On another note, I had my AMEB exam yesterday. AMEB is a yearly Music Exam, and is taken really seriously. I play flute, so I had to play a few pieces, do some scales and what not. I did the worst thing possible by trying to make conversation with the examiner in my nervousness. She just looked at me funny every time I talked at her (and I mean at) and went "mmmm". I was so desperate, that when I was leaving, I said something along the lines of: "Aren't these old doors just beautiful?" I MEAN HELLO!!! Great one, Briar, just great. Now she's gonna think you're psycho as well as a C standard examination...

Life is so unfair! My Mum says I can't buy anymore anime until I get a job! I'M UNDERAGED FOR GOODNESS SAKE!!! And no one has job offers where I live!

Another Day In The Life Of An Anime Freak

The title says it all! Welcome to my first journal entry. My world.
Today I did the usual. I got yelled at from Mum for downloading anime and watching it before school. Then I went to school. I couldn't get the songs from my favourite amvs out of my head, and I couldn't wait until I went home. I had started to download a Hoshi no koe (is that it?) video, and because my computer is the slowest thing on earth (I've nicknamed it "The Sloth") I didn't see it before I went to school.
I came home, and the video was seriously demented, simply because my computer hadn't downloaded it properly. In a rage, I deleted the amv. But I forgot to remember any details of the video... so I'll have to sort through the 'My Downloads' section to find it again.
Oh to have cable! *sobs* now I only have 10 good amvs. And most of them are the same scenes from Samurai X! *wails* is there no justice!?
