Hello, hello, hell-oooo!
Not too many people placing nominations for the video awards thingamajigger, which is too bad. You should be. Five hundred plus people downloaded my video, and I'm sure that this wasn't the most popular download ever, eh? Yet only three hundred-some-odd >even?< people bothered to make nominations. SHAME! You should be good viewers and voice your choice.
Aah, well the report card came, and I passed Wildlife Ecology, and I'd just like to take this time to drop to my knees and allow you all to join me in PRAISING JESUS'S WONDERS. At least someone was watching my ass on exam day besides the person(s) that sat behind me. Other grades consisted of a B, a C, and an A, so all things considered, I got my grades outta the gutter as well as I could. This semester I plan on all A's. It won't happen, but I'd settle for high B's... ^^
There IS a nomination category for the best first video.
As I sit here, I wonder where all the anime has gone. I really haven't had a splitting urge to reach for anything that I own, though I still want to see the second and third Urusei Yatsura (forgive me if I spell it wrong; it's been months) box sets and some Maze, but they aren't mine, so it's tough titties for me, I s'pose. ...Anyways, instead of watching anime (TV in general actually... good God, save me) I've been >gasp, here it comes< reading BOOKS! And ya know what, kids? Books are damn good. Take Stephen King's 'The Talisman,' probably one of the best books that he's done that I've read. (Besides The Gunslinger. And The Dragon's Eyes. And...) A seemingly innocent kid finds out that there's a paralell world called the territories that is much like our own place, yet nothing like it at all... and that his mother's dying and the only way he can save her is to travel to the territories and search for, of course, the Talisman. It's got more twists than a Dairy Queen cone, and ...WOW! It's great. Go out and get it. Expand your neurons. See how I write? This is the correct way to write. Now look at the way you write and cry in shame (juuuuust kidding). Punk.
Spawn's sitting here on my hard drive tapping his little talon-adorn feet ready to slit my throat for not having uploaded him yet. SOOON! I promise! I will bring my hard drive to his HOUSE if need be, and then there shall be action, oh yes yes YES, there shall be ACTION.
Speaking of the devil, I have a CPU! However, a sad twist of fate: this computer is now unable to upload videos to the internet >per my father's request; he's got a point, it's not nice to tie up the Internet Connection Sharing host with my 50 meg uploads.< so, someday Carl'll do me another favor and do some uploads, and the world shall finally be at peace. Perhaps. Until then, keep on rolling your eyes and vowing never to come back to my journal.

Geez, it's always coming to this nowadays. This particular journal
entry is being made from the good old Dreamcast that I >knew< would someday
serve a purpose worthy of keeping it around (besides all the kickass games
out for it, but you can bet they'll be ported to the GC anytime... heh) ...
because my computer's CPU bit the dust, in a big way. As such, it will
probably be some time before I'm back on my own computer again, and this
also means more waiting for that good ol' Spawn video that I'm sure a good
dozen of you have already at least shown SOME interest in >I luv you guys..
sad thing is that the 900+ hits that I've gotten are probably from the same
15 people every time or something. sigh-age.<... so, instead of making
promise after promise and being forced to break it through some nasty run
of luck thatnature has put me on ever since joining up with AMV.org, I'll
revert to older, better tactics...
It'll be out when it's out.
Peace and such. Now that I know that the internet still works on this beast,
I think a few rounds with my old Phantasy Star Online character are in
order, and probably a new character. Mebbe Harper. So, keep an eye out;
you never know when you'll meet a person named

Well, it's done, it's done, it's done. I'm currently encoding a 720x480 version of the compressed video to see how big it is... just for shits 'n giggles. Last time I tried, there was no big diff when changing the resolution, so mebbe I'll get lucky again. Doubt it, but neh, could be a small enough difference to allow me to post it instead of the 54-meg, 320x200 version. I never knew that taking footage from DVD's took so much muscle! I have a newfound respect for those that have done it from the beginning; it's a pain in the ass. Most of my early projects came from other MPEG files (So make sure to flip the bird if you see your footage! Fun for everyone! Actually, most of it came from two sources, and they know who I'm talkin' about.), and it makes me feel warm and skooshy to know that I'm using regular, home-grown footage at last. Freedom!
Someday I plan on making something called an Anime Music Video, seeing as this last project I did was kinda sorta not... But technically, the animation was done in Taiwan, so it's sorta anime! Yuss! That's my new excuse. Stop houndin' me. Also, if anyone gets back with me >two applications so far... bum bada dum...< and I get a somewhat stable job, I'll be sure to put up the WEBPAGE that I'm writing >again<! Hoorah! It's gonna have power stats, DBZ Bio's and lotsa OTHER COOL SHIT!

Enough with the crap. I just want... a semi-normal... page, with my projects and... that's it! Buh!

FINALLY figured out how to get everything in Premeire to work just the way I want it to >and I'm one picky Motha F'er, if I do say so myself<, and have just finished my first Animated Music Video.
I spelled that wrong, didn't I? Wait, nope, sure didn't. I was rooting through my old DVD's the other day and I stumble upon a fairly older animation series that I held dear to me once (and to a certain extent, still find quite entertaining, I'm happy to say), but then the bastards at HBO cut the series loose, pissing off many loyal watchers, including me.
Well, the past lives again, baby. The first of my hopefully "new and improved" streak of AMV creations, straight from the depths of Hell, is alive. Gotcha hooked already, haven't I? Yeah, my charm and grace under pressure at work.
Simply a rough day...
