JOURNAL: Harper (Harper cannot tell you his first name. Taboo.)

  • Nope, didn't get any better than that. 2001-12-05 19:47:25 Well, school's come and gone, thank God. I never thought I'd be looking forward to Christmas break >... no, really.<, but here I am, screaming, "C'mon, let's get this OVER with!"... the bad part is that I hafta do this all over again tomorrow... and the day after that... then MABYE I'll get a break.

    An old friend that's been in Marine Bootland comes home on the 9th, and I've got lots of catching up to do on his behalf; he's been outta the loop for three, close to four months now as far as Anime and videogames go >the Game-what?<, and plans include a sloppy Dragonball fest (what can I say, the kid likes Vegeta...), lotsa Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 (and, once he's feeling cocky that he can beat me in that game, Capcom Vs. SNK to kill his hopes, heh heh heh...) and lotsa Rogaine, no doubt... I'm so sad; I can't stand the fact that the boy's gonna be bald the next time I see him! It's almost too much to bear... >sniff<

    >ahem< Well, it's been eons since I've had an import device in my hands, and I'm going to go nuts in about 2.3 seconds, because it's becoming violently clear to me that I may never be able to do my Trigun project! NOOOOO! Someone take pity on my poor soul and strike up a "Buy Harper an All-in-Wonder for X-mas" fund so I can get back to work! It's so HORRIBLE not being able to please the masses! Is my next project destined to be a Final Fantasy 9 project? I NEED A SOURCE OF REAL INPUT! SOME HIGH-QUALITY TRIGUN DVD'S, NOT SOME SILLY PLAYSTATION MOVIE RIPPA! HEEEEEEELP!

    >...*cough*< And on top of that, I STILL feel like shit-on-a-stick. Poo. Hope I'm feeling better in time for the weekend; it seems that my friend Carl has put his grubby hands on a copy of Smash Bros... I'll make sure to haul Sco and two controllers. Hasta la somethin', everyone. Have fun making videos! >crying in the background<

  • Lucky sons 'a bitches... 2001-12-05 07:19:04 MeriC: No big rush; it's not like they're premeireing on TRL tomorrow and I NEED some feedback, it's just a courtesy. Worry about the rest of your life, and if ya get a chance in between finals, school, SMASH BROTHERS (grr... lucky.), love life, etc... you know what you can do. ^-~

    Anycrap, it's another wednesday, I'm not prepared for two big assignments due today, and frankly, I could care less. I haven't been feeling too hot this week and today seems to be hitting me the hardest. So, it's off to school wit myah, and I'll see if I can make it through the day without collapsing. More after school.

    (I always wanted to say that)
  • To Mr. Big, Big Truck 2001-12-03 19:25:32 (and all others that are saying "WHAT?!" right now...) The Viewers Choice Awards entry is what I was referring to. Mayhaps it's been there for some time now and I've just noticed it. >laughing< If that's the case, I think anyone in my shoes would be feeling MIIIGHTY stupid right now, heheh..... -.-;;
  • Hah, >I< am QUALIFIED! 2001-12-03 16:20:15 If you have no clue as to what the hell I'm going on about, inspect the "members" main page a bit closer than normal; believe it or not, that does recieve updates every once in a while. My poor, lonesome music video "Alone" will mayhaps be judged by the nice ...erm, judges... kickin'! Though with my single video, I feel a bit outnumbered, as opposed to MetalWolf's count which is dangerously teetering the 45-count mark (Good Lord, where does this man get his bandwidth!?), but I suspect that the whole point of this contest is Quality over Quantity, and not having personally checked out any of MetalWolf's work (which I'm about to reptify)... well, I guess we shall see. However, having seen a few of the other videos on that list, I'm afraid that my video's never going to make it through the preliminaries. >sigh< Oh well, better videos next year. I'm rooting for Big Big Truck, myself. AT THE END OF THE DAY RULES, MAN!

    >ahem<... idolism put aside, I'm starting my own Japanese Dreamcast game collection, thanks to a friend from WAY out-of-town rekindling my interest in the now dead Dream machine itself. But listen to THIS, folks; it's NOT dead! That's right, it's still alive and kicking in Japan and Europe, pumpin' out those arcade-perfect translations of the Capcom greats that no other system seems capable of doing right (Sony, go away.). You may not know it (or believe it), but, in fact, after all that hyping of the system specs of the PS2 before it came out, actual game pixel usage crawls from the astronomical 60 mil that they promised to ...5-4 mil MAX, and that's running at 28-32 FPS, my friends. Believe it; the PS2 is actually not much more powerful than the Dreamcast, and in my opinion (Besides MGS2 and FFX and a handful of others. I have my loyalties), the DC has MUCH better games. The arcade ports, the Blue Hedgehog Adventure 2, Grandia... C'mon, I haven't seen games of this caliber in a long time! I still enjoy >un-ashamedly, I admit< unplugging that Gamecube and hooking up the good ol' last "Hurrah" from Sega's Hardware department. Now all the DC needs is a portable screen...

    Seriously! My entire Band is planning on crowding into the hotel room that I'm boarding in when we go to Boston >opera house, concert, HARD ROCK CAFE, shezat like that. Plan on picking up a PS2 while I'm there...;)< to watch the Capcom Vs. SNK tourney I'm hosting (That and Smash Bros Melee, but that's not even out 'till tomorrow). If anyone complains it's too crowded, everyone else >including madman Schofield< will beat the living piss outta the offender, because it's gonna be heated competition... but so far, no human alive (even 4 v 1) has been able to defeat me as Shin Ryu, and once I unlock Gokui (Akuma, bla bla), there will be NO ONE to stand in my way. BUUHAHAHAHAHA! Unless I'm distracted by Mai's ...>ahem< airborne cleavage. They REALLY oughtta slap a wonderbra on dat ninja.

    Well, that's about all the time I have for today's game ravings. Oh, updated Kenshin: Broken (new song and all... heh) in my vid shez, so check it out; once I FIND a host for the vid, it's going up, seeing as Adiamante seems to be unable to spare 10 megabytes for me to host Megaman X4 and Kenshin at the same time. Oh well, beggars can't be choosers.

  • Wow, it's been that long...? 2001-11-30 07:32:21 Geez, I've been so enthralled in Schoolwork and Capcom Vs SNK that I haven't even thought about AMV.org. tee-hee, silly me. Must earn Akuma... (ahem) I've also been busy downloading some music videos (and when they're 40 megs a pop and I download with an average speed of 4K/sec, ut can take awhile). Some are good, some are real stinkers. Some decided to stop downloading after 5 megs and refuse to let me re-download the whole file. Fancy.

    Well, the Dazzle POS has finally been pronounced dead on revival. It worked for about four seconds, then proceeded to eat itself, never to return again. I'm gonna hafta shuck all my monies together and see what I can do about an all-in-wonder. I dunno; this whole thing is NUTS, man... yeah.

    A few other AMV updates... Zero Gravity Productions hasn't bothered to get back with me, so I guess this means my video sucks. >shrugs< Oh well. With any luck, I'll get SOME import device up and working so I can do my blasted Trigun project. I'm going in two different directions in my train of thought, so I may just do two videos. We'll see. It's all speculation 'till I get an import device working.

    Hasta la somethin'.
