pyro72: Wow, that is exactly my goal in life...To create something undeniably beautiful. Of course I have no idea of what that might be, or how to go about doing it, or even where to start...but I think that if I ever do create something beautiful, I'll know it. Some people have told me that that is a really vague and silly thing to strive for, but I think its worthwhile and I'll encourage anyone else who has the same idea. I mean, what could be greater than bringing something into this world which is uplifting and inspiring to people?
You know, one of these days, I'd like to see a KOR video to "If You Leave" by Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark or ANY video to Pizzicato Five's "Baby Love Child" song. But seeing as how I am not willing to make those videos myself, I don't see them getting done. Oh well...
I really hate this time of year. It's just not very conducive to getting work done. Always looking forwards to the next holiday. I mean last week before Thanksgiving was pretty harsh, but now the Christmas season is upon us! Now I realize not everyone is Christian, but neither am I and I still get caught up in this stuff! And then exactly a week after Christmas is New Year's Day! Every year without fail it seems to happen this way!!! I dunno, maybe I'm just not cut out for this 9-to-5 stuff.
My date for the company party this year has flaked out on me too. I was really looking forwards to going this year since its a new job and all. Mental note: Find more reliable females. I still have a couple weeks to find another date, but I was thinking about it and I don't want to just bring any old person off the street, that just wouldn't feel right. So I'm leaning towards just fucking it all and going up to Boston for that weekend. I never really spent much time up there (went there once scouting colleges), so it should be fun. A new city to explore woohah!
Ugh, time to write my bi-weekly report on what I've been doing lately.

Yeah, this weekend was a blast. Touch rugby is a sport to be feared. Not the big kind of fear, like when some masked man jumps out of the closet and pulls your pants down in front of your girlfriend's parents, but the exciting little fear that gets the adrenaline pumping and the heart pounding. Rugby (and not rugby league, which is different somehow) is pretty different than football too. No forward passes, rolling the ball between your legs and all the constant running. I'm sore all over and I'll be walking bowlegged for a week!
Yeah, it was good to see a bunch of AMVers like Phade and Mrs. Phade, our gracious hosts, RYS, Maboroshi, Waldo, Kusoyaro and various other people there.
(Now I will use everyone's real name to confuse them)
The very first thing Hsien did when he got there was give Jason a woody, although he gave other people some later on. Jason of course had to bring his italian sausage and Joe was so excited that he squirted sausage juice all over Mary's pants. Hopefully the stains won't set in. Next time, he shouldn't bite down so hard.
Then we watched A Charlie Brown Christmas (or whatever its called) and Swordfish in the Phade apartment complex movie theatre. The DVD player must've been child-locked because it totally skipped a gratuitous Halle Berry underwear scene (although we still got the frontal woohoo!).
I was starting to feel a little sick too when I left, but I chalk that up to the cat. I think we ought to shave it next time. =]
Seeing the Phade home movies was certainly a treat. Has anyone ever seen Trainspotting? H is for Hospital! =D

Ah, fond Apple memories...My family first got a computer in 1982. It was an Apple ][ plus, which was the precursor to the Apple //e I think. It had the cool 5 1/4 inch floppy disk drive and we used to buy single-sided diskettes and punch holes new write-protect tab holes on the other side to make them double-sided (woohoo, from 360k to 720k disk capacity!!!). The keyboard was built into the base of the computer and there was no caps lock key, so all the letters were annoyingly in caps (the shift key only worked for the punctuation above the numbers and such). The keyboard wasn't normally set up for lower case letters, but its really just an electrical signal anyways and we knew the computer could interpret ASCII, so we went to Radio Shack one day and bought some wires and a slide switch and built a caps-lock toggle for the keyboard so that it on one setting it connected to the old pin out, but the new setting connected to the pin out that was 32 bits higher (had to look up ASCII values to figure it out) and BAM ghetto caps-lock was created! I also had the monochrome green monitor that was all burned in because sometimes we'd leave the monitor on too long and the numbers and letters were stuck on the screen permanently. Ooh, and I had that cool joystick too. The little square thing. And a 300 baud Hayes modem and an Okidata dot matrix printer that you could stick typewriter ribbons in. Fun fun fun.

My boss was telling me a story today about how he had to take suppositories for some reason. Quite an interesting story lemme tell
you. Plus the time the doctor stuck a camera up his butt to look around his intestinal tract. He went into a level of detail that was
making me just a little bit queasy after lunch. That'll teach me to show up to a meeting early.
The sodas in the soda machine here cost 70 cents! That's highway robbery!!! Why, back at my last job (lapsing into my old man
voice), they were 60 cents when I started working there and then after maybe a year and a half raised to 65. I should just go to
CostCo and buy a crapload of soda and snacks to put in my office cabinets. I used to do that when I was interning at Lockheed one
summer until the snack machine guy got on my case. I was cutting into his business apparently.
What would you do if you had to go to an Ethics seminar and someone gave you this situation:
Jack is riding a horse but suddenly loses control and the horse starts bucking wildly. Would you help Jack off the horse?
As you can see, the answer is not so simple. It could turn into a sticky situation!
I've actually posted more on Kusoyaro's forum than on my own. I think he's only posting on mine because he wants to get more stars.
That cheeky monkey! He must be an asshead wannabe! Of course, that's why I post on his forum too. But then again, his gets more
traffic because he actually has it linked from other sites. I am thinking that is probably a good way to generate traffic, but I have
gotten kind of fond of my 3 hits every few days.

Since everyone else is talking about dreams...
I had a dream once that I was in a small room with the midget guy from Twin Peaks. We were sitting in Lazyboy recliners with popcorn buckets set into the armrests and reviewing movies which were playing on a big screen in front of us as if we were doing some movie critic show for TV. There was a red curtain behind us and the midget keeps looking back as if someone (or something) is going to come out from behind it. Then he suddenly says "I'm gonna go to the bathroom" and presses a button on his chair and it blasts off like a rocket and I watch him go until he's just a tiny spark of light in the sky (not sure where the ceiling was at this point).

Speaking of movies, you know how they play random songs and just show ads and movie trivia questions way before the movie starts (like before they dim the lights and show the previews)? I think it'd be funny if someone made fake ads to play at anime cons in the deadtime between shows and events. We could play random anime/game/j-pop music while showing the ads and stuff!
