  • 5002 hits 2008-10-11 13:44:16 Last night was Christine's 22nd birthday. It was a fun day, but busy for me. I had work in the morning, only 2 kids thank god. After that, had to haul ass to Irvine for a doctor appointment. After that, went to Cerritos mall with my mom to get her present. I chose the purring perfume from victoria's secret. it was too perfect! Then on to a work meeting. money for very little work, so i went. it was drdps, and evals. i was nervous, but got a great eval from my supervisor. i found out later that eric's meeting didnt go so well, so today i need to cheer him up. also, victoria might be delayed a semester, but ash is here to comfort her.

    the party was just a lot of fun. at first i was a little tense from the meeting, but after more people showed up and i had a few drinks i loosened up. the food was great, christine had a blast, and it was cool to catch up on what my old roomies were up to.

    at the moment, i'm working on my new amv about sakaki from azumanga daioh. it's going veeeery slowly, becuz i only have a few hours a month to work on it. 
  • 4989 hits 2008-10-07 12:51:39 Wow, the first time I've been able to write in this in a long time. It's not even that I have no free time anymore, altho that's certainly a part of it. Lately, I've just been so burned out with school and work that I can't think straight. I think Monday was the first time I've woken up in over a month and not felt exhausted, weekends included.

    I'll just put a short summary of what's been going on.

    First off, my bike got super vandalized. I'm really angry about it, especially last night, because we watched the Bicycle Thief in my Italian cinema class. I loved the movie.

    ALso, I went to the anime club bonfire last weekend. It was a nice relief from some other things going on in my life. It was good times with good friends around a fire, and cuddle time with Eric. It was a really good experience, and a really awesome memory, with pics.

    This Friday, I went to a party at Aarti's house. It was good times, altho I don't like being pressured to drink. I met a bunch of new people, most of whom I don't remember too well. I passed out on the couch after a couple hours, then stumbled down the stairs on the way home, with a drunken Aarti trying to carry me. It was hilarious.

    Saturday I slept all day to recover from work & alcohol, then Sunday I had an awesome day with Eric. WE ate, we watched anime, we hung out. Good times. 
  • 4962 hits 2008-09-20 10:20:51 Last night, CSULB had a mixer for the Indian student association. I went with Eric, and had a blast. I got to see some of my friends I hadn't seen in a while, like the girls I stayed with when I crashed on Aarti's couch. I saw Nikita, Snehal, Geeta, Viraj, Shika, and a bunch of other people. It was so much fun, which I needed after another stressful week.

    I think the reason I don't write in this journal as often anymore is because my life has become repetitive and miserable. Something's gotta give in terms of work & school. I still like my classes, but I honestly don't know how much longer I can keep up going to work at 8am, especially after I get out of class at 10pm. 
  • 4939 hits 2008-09-15 23:43:50 I'm battling a cold fiercly, still. I feel like I havent had a minute to myself since school started. I took a sick day last Thursday, and I think that helped my immune system & sanity greatly. I also took a nap today, and if my Mom hadn't knocked on my door, I wouldve missed class. Also I left class early because I already saw the movie Open City last semester & hated it. SO I started my laundry & ate something, so Ive been taking care of myself lately.

    Friday Saturday & Sunday I hung out with Eric. We need to talk about a few things, but thats better left to a private message on facebook. 
  • 4914 hits 2008-09-05 00:38:47 Thursday. I got up, thinking I was late for work. Rushed to get there at 7:20 am, 5 minutes late, only to find that my boss had tried to send me a voice mail that I didn't need to be at work until 10:45 am. So I had time to go apply at the long beach school district. After that, I went to see my Mom, who lives close by. She told me to stick with my current job, even if I hate it, because working for the school district as an aide means I will have to be yelled at by a bitchy teacher. I took her advice and went to work. My Mom pretty much drove me around everywhere today.

    At work, the baby didn't show up til 30 minutes before I had to leave, and she was happy. It was awesome! I wish every day was like that.

    After work, I went to the bank, then the t-mobile store. The phone I bought on ebay hasn't been working, so my Mom got me a blackberry. I need the calendar function! OMG, I love my new phone! I paid her back $200 towards the price, and she paid the rest. This phone rocks!!!!!!!!

    Next, I went to the chiropractor. Hopefully my back & neck pain, dizziness, & migraines will go away now.

    Then we looked at a/c units at costco, then Mom took me to class. It was nice to spend some time with her, even if most of my time nowadays is spent driving between chores.

    Class was tubular! The teacher is this funky old Indian chick, really easygoing & interesting. We watched this great movie called Lisistrata, about this Greek chick who organizes a rebellion against a war by abstaining from sex, and it works. It was so good! Also, the other people in the class were really nice & cool, and I got free m&ms.
