website, I feel like doing what the author of that site did. So, without further ado:
1. If I could be a farmer, I'd live a quiter life.
2. If I could be a musician, I'd write songs that would make people cry. My band would tour th world & have adventures in exotic countries. Pete Steele would be my man-whore.
3. If I could be a painter....wait, I'm doing that now...
4. If I could be a llama-rider, I would, just so I could say "I ride llama for a living." How cool is that!?
5. If I could be a bonnie pirate, my galley would be bigger than my house, I would cause trouble at the yauht club (I dont NEEd to spell that word correctly. I'm a pirate, for fuck's sake!), and I would have a blind parrot attached to my right shoulder at all times.

• @ the Galaxy Theatre 2005-09-25 15:37:33 went to Santa Ana last night. I love Therion;s music, altho I now know it doesn't really translate into a live format. It took them 2 hours to get onstage.
The 1st opening band sucked harder than I knew it was possible to suck. Their guitarist & bassist were pretty good, but the drummer (who looked about 12 years old & didnt wear a shirt on his skinny chest) kept hitting offbeat & playing really randomly. The singer was also really immature. He would annouce the song names in this really thrash voise, whish is only cool when used during a song. Then he tired to immitate Cradle of Filth, who aren't my favoite anyway, but ended up sounding like he was doing bat calls. Perhaps he could get a gig at the fair in the rain forest simulation exhibit.
The 2nd opening band was unremarkable. They weren't great, but compared to the previous band they were almost tolerable. Mostly I was pissed because they were keeping Therion from being onstage. When the singer asked if the audience wanted another song, I was really expecting the audience to yell "NO!", but instead they yelled "yes". Damn.
Therion finally got onstage. I promised my ride I would leave at 11pm, and they were ostage at 20 minutes til. I'm thinking, ok, I waited, but it's THERION! I LOVE therion! Then they started playing. I realized I prefer their lyrics in Icelandic or German or whatever. They even played m favorite song of theirs, "Evocation of Vovin", which I know know is pronounced "Vah-vin", not "Voe-vin". It didn't sound anything like on the cd. At least now I know I am not into Death Metal, at least not livve. I am glad I got to get out of the house tho. I think I'll try to go see the Decemberists agai, they were awesome.

I learned something, too. It's not enough to come an hour late to a concert, it's better to come 2 hours or more late. I'm just afraid that I'll come & the band will have already played their set & I'll have missed them. Perhaps calling ahead of time would help solve that problem.
• still sick, but not AS sick 2005-09-23 15:38:20 Welll, I've mostly been spending my weeks watching "Rose of Versailles". I'm a lot more into the story line that I thought I would be. After seeing it for the 1st (& only) time in the Animix project, I got almost the whole series, but never got around to watching it. Since I didn;t feel up to anything else, I started it a few days ago (I have no idea exactly when). It started out pretty tame, lotsa roses & sparkles, but as it progressed there is a lot more action & drama. I'm starting to really care about the characters, probably more than I should. The 2nd director is really good, esp. at making the characters come alive & really seem human in their actions. I can really relate to Rosalie, because in one episode her birth mother asks her to live with her, and she says no. The director made you really want Rosalie to say yes, but I am estranged from my father, who I have never met face-to-face, & I know that I would never want to live with him or meet him, so I really stood by her decision to run away. There is so much tension going on between the characters, I couldn't stop watching it (really, I was almost late to class several times). I'm trying to get the last 5 episodes for a sense of closure.

In other news, I still have a cough, my house is still getting revamped, & I am still passing my college classes (just barely, with all the skool I've missed :P )

*sigh* Thank God it's the weekend!
• I been really sick, BUT 2005-09-15 03:01:01 Tonight I went to East Hollywoodd to se the Decemberists, & they ROCKED! The Sons & DAughters opened for them, and they had so much energy it was amazing! They wcame from Scotland. Some guys next to me were jumping up & down & going crazy. A bunch of the people in the audience had cury or red hair, so I guess they ccame to see them. The next band sucked, it was a 10-girl a capella group. They were like the glee club, and the only good song they played was "I can see for miles & miles".

Then the Decemberists came on. FINALY! I waited for like 2 hours! My hips & feet were so sore, but it was totally worth it! The girl Perta was so funny, she kept making noises & clowning around. When some girl tossed her pantied on stage, Petra used her violin bow to throw them at the lead singer. When they played "the Bagman's Gambit", it was amazing. That is my favorite song of theirs. It was extended slightly with a violin/guitar solo. I was jumping & dancing & screaming & going crazy, even tho I'm still a little sick. I'm going to be sore tomorow! It was so late that I had to leave right after 'We Both Go Down Together", which was one of the 2 songs they played that I recognized. These guys are great! Usually when I see a band live, i've never heard any of their songs, but it's cool to be able to sing along to the songs you like. I guess you could say I'm a fan of theirs.
• another day...another spinal injury 2005-09-09 03:16:29 I spent the largest part of my day today at 2 chiropractors. The first was my usual guy, Dr. Hall. After my car accidet, I've been feeling falling-down dizzy (I only fell down the one time, tho). I was worried, but he said that after 4-8 weeks of treatment it will start to get better. Since he made my low back pain go away once before, I belieeve him. My hmo, Kaiser, does not. Never get Kaiser! Or Allstate...both suck. Anyway, Kaiser will give me a list of chiropractors to go to, but the guy I went to today is a long winded nut. If he wasn''t so old I'd ask him if he was going to Burning Man (I wish I was going...). Anyway, he spent 2 hours talking, and talking, and talking.....I kept hoping he'd get to the point. The general feeling I got from the visit is that he believes in whole foods & detox, which is fine, but I wanted him to giive me some specific options to help my body get better, on many levels. He suggstd 2 meal replacements. He actually said that for one "After the first 6 months, you can cancel anytime & not have to pay shipping". Sure he may have some good points, but his adjustments were weak, & I just dont trust him.

Also met with Stas (my teacher) to discuss my independant study. For my first trick, I will be making, then painting, a collage. Collage isn't my favorite form of art, but I'm willing to try anything lately. The last one turned out good. FYI, it mainly featured Rei Ayanami, complete with a single angel wing. Perhaps I will eventually scan it & post it to deviantart. Havent posted to/visited that site in months...perhaps I'll spend a few hours tomorow doing that. Wonder if it counts as a gallery visit....In my special projects in art class, we have to visit a certain number of galleries to get credit...
