Just got off work. So tired. Stupid roommate singing badly..... Re-read a bit more of Strangers in Paradise. I'm probably going to special order volume 2.
One of my managers kids came in today. I think I was inadvertently stuck being a babysitter. She was 6, quiet, and a little weird. -

Lots has happened. I moved in with Eric, and it's been going well. At first it was sort of a trial, but I think it might work out. I never get to see him, tho cuz he works long hours every day.
YEsterday was Valentine's Day. It was also Eric & my anniversary. We ate at out fave Hawaiian restaurant, then tried to see Coraline. It was sold out, so we ate chocolate on the parking structure roof.
ALso, I have a new job. I work as a clerk at a hardware store, charging house accounts. It's long hours, like 10, but an easy job. Also, I'm sick. -

It's been a long time since I wrote in this. I guess my life has been pretty constant. I've been worrying lately about money. It's getting to be my third month of unemployment, yet to see an unemployment check. Also, my lease ends at the end of March, and my Grandparents may not be able to pay my rent after that. No job, no place to live. So, yeah, I'm a little concerned. I go to my first "bite" in about an hour. I did door-to-door, which seems more effective than simply using email. I got 2 who were interested, and one who actually wants me to sit in for an interview. It's at a children's gym in Long Beach. Wish it were a bit farther north, but oh well. I really hope I get this job.
- 5146 hits 2008-12-10 01:46:26 Well, I've had a lot of life to live lately. Thanksgiving with family, including my Grandmother, who recently developed cancer. Let's just say this semester has not been easy for me. I'll be so glad when finals are over. I need some r&r, bad.

Yesterday was my 26th birthday. Yay! I had a lot of fun starting the night before, when a bunch of my friends (Aarrti, Harshul, Nikki, Vin and of course Eric) threw a suprise cake cutting party for me. Aarti & Nikki smashed the cake all over my face! Nikki even got it into my eyebrows! It took forever in the bathroom to clean my face. I had a really great time.
Then Wednesday, Nikki, my Mom & I went to Polly's & ate (I got 2 kinds of pie! lemon meringue & special birthday). Then we drove around Seal Beach & window shopped in clothing stores & the Italian deli.
Eric really made my birthday special by taking me out for dinner at my favorite restaurant, George's. It was so romantic with just the two of us. I was so happy. Just thinking about it makes me smile. The baklava with honey was awesome, and I've never had their baklava before. There are so many of these special moments that I have with Eric :D
Also on my birthday, I got my group presentation done for human sexuality. I was so nervous! I wrote out my part an hour before we met to go over the presentation. I read my part quietly while waiting for them to show up. Turns out I was the most prepared! Our presentation didn't go great, but we all did our parts, so I think we're ok. I;m so glad to get it over with!
