I went to San Diego this weekend. It was for another one of my mom's stupid boyfriend's ascap job. The car ride was hot & tiring, so by dinner time I was so out of it that I asked the waiter at the hotel's resturant for water, not noticing the water on the table. Since he needed the cr anyway, ny mom & me stayed in the hotel room & watched xmen 2 on tv. I like that movie, so it was okay. Then we went home. That was Friday/Saturday. The rest of Saturday I think I just hug around screwing with video effects & watching the increasingly depressing aishiteru ze baby.
Sunday we all saw the Da Vinci code. It was alright. I think the best part was the reveal about mary magdelene. Awwww. Then there was the part at the end where the woman was joking around about being able to walk on water. She couldnt.
Monday. Today. Woke up around 1, declded to get a new pin, gorceries, and apply at lucielles & starbucks. Made toast, went to vons, got coffee, waited at employment kiosk, got bored & left. Bought fruit, went back to kiosk, still being occupied by the same guy. It is NEVER busy!
So it was 2:30, and the times to apply at lucielles are 3-4 on m-w. I had dressed up in the nicest looking outfit I had that didnt include sequins, a black boatneck cotton top with 3/4 length sleeves with pockets on them, and plain red pants. Since my black steve maddens have long disappeared, I wore vans. Shoes suitable for skateboarding, worn to a job interview? nice!
So I filled out the application, noting how my writing style conjures the image of a retarded monkey-child. Amazingly, the guy seemed interested. When I asked him if he would recommend me for the position at the meeting friday, he said 'YES!"
After that, I put in an application to the Islands across the street. I know a girl who works there, so maybe I have an "in." Or there's always the starbucks job fair...
The rest of the day was spent in front of the tv. I had other things to do, but I really didnt feel like it, so I 'enjoyed' the grim adventures of billy & mandy, dexter's lab, wonder showzen, heavy metal story or whatever, and fma. It was weird to notice how the channels kept repeating the same episodes of 3 different shows across the different channels. I saw the same tradgety of kiss creating a disco blum 3 times. huh...
And tomorow I return to Islands for my interview. And check my internet messages some more. Also I should probably start studying for my film exam on wednesday. Feeling delightfully lightheaded today. Lessee, it's been hot. I cooked turkey burger wraps for everyone, and they are good. The dishwasher refused to clean the dishes, even after 2 cycles on hott & heavy. At least the black steam didnt bellow forth from within. I enjoyed another rootbeer float today. The coffee maker sorta worked, but not having the peice where the filter goes, my coffee was filled with about a millimeter or 2 of coffee grounds. Sadly, it was the best coffee I've ever made. I cook way better than I brew coffee. Perhaps the starbucks guy was rite not to hire me...
I'm missing an awesome full moon party & a chance to get laid with a hippie as my mother's day gift to my mom. I'll inform her of this tomorow. At least I wont get another all-day lecture, and I dont have to get her an actual gift, card, or e-card.
Still havent gotten an op on my new amv. I'll op all the vids I downloaded, then perhaps offer an opinion exchange or something. In other news, my friend & I finished editing our short film, titles "Puttin' it together." It's about an evil bookcase that un-puts itself together, and is a little over 6min long.
Wht hvae I been up to? Besisdes dayydreaming & petting my ccat, and watching musc videos earlier, Iv;ve been time wasting on some websites I freaking love that I just discovered.

Garbage pail kids used to scare the hell out of me when I was a kid, culminating when I saw the girl with the needle in her arm & ran screaming from the room (I hated getting shots!) I always thought greaser greg & max axe were kimnda cute ,tho.

I finished my first full length amv in almost a year. It was sort of a quickie. I leanred a whole bunch about editing in my film class, so I figured I could try to make amvs faster. It worked out good. I spent about 10 hours on a vhd:b video, and I actuaally edited it, not just took someone else's vid & added new music, like 90% of the other vhdb vids out there. Now if I can just remember how to upload...
In other news, I got my period tuesday. That day, I was in too much apin to do much of anything, then yesterday I slept all day & didnt go to my classes. Today I feel a little better, just dizzy & shakey from the midol. Basically, I'm awake, btu incapable of doing much.
My ffirend awws supposed to coome over & we'd owrk on our film project, but I missed her cal & she hasnt called back/ I dont think it's polite to start without her, esp. since I blew her off on tuesday. I almost didnt ansewer the door! I was i so much pain, & I thougt it aws a realtor or somehitng! AShe said she undrstood & she was really nifce about it.
Rite now, theres cleaning ladies & city inspectors in the house. The cleanign ladies are cwroiking really hard, becuz the house is so shitty from construction that we cant tke it anymore. Also, the insppectors are arguing with eacch other about whether the workk done was good enuf or not. I want this to be over....
Since I feel so dizzy & ixcky, I think i'll relax now & watch more aishteru ze baby, maye look for my ftp program, check my private mesages. - 2120 hits 2006-05-07 01:46:38 Slow day. I spent 4-5 hours working on a quickie amv, tentatively titled "quickie." It's Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust to Deadsy. After the editing excercies my film teacher gave me, like taking 3 min of random footage & using it to create a 6 min movie with story, no effects, no timal changes, no pasting of long blocks of edits (done in 5 hours!), I feel like I can take on the world. I had stopped making amvs for a while, because I really want to use after effects to make some complicated edits on some amvs, but using iMovie in the meantime is fast & fun. I think I'm 10 hours in, and only one more minute left. Other than that, I've been watching amvs again, altho I'm enjoying creating them more than watching them, which is a nice change. And now I'm so tired I'm a little dizzy....
