I have created my first webcomic. According to the panel I attended at Fanime, you can have good story, good art or good updates. Pick any 2 as long as 1 is good updates. I pick story. And if I can write in this thing as often as I do, making 1 shitty webcomic per week shouldn't be too hard, especially since I have Fridays off & nothing to do.
Now, I want to find the chord that allows me to upload pics from my digital camera so I can try my hand at stop-motion animation. I have an idea for a new video that's been floating around in the old noggin since last year, when I bout a 5" movable joint Eva unit 1. I want so much to animate it and have it do...things. I really want to make it dance, but it's not mobile enough to do that. Either I need to buy another figure with more stability and mobility, or work with what I've got. I'll try working with it for now, and if looks like my idea is doable, maybe I'll upgrade. -

Today was depressing. I hate these days where the sky is so hot, muggy and grey. This kind of weather always makes me feel edgy. To make matters worse, I decided to drop off my resume to South Park & DirecTV. The South Park guy, Dave, obviously thought I was a little weird, but was nice enough to accept my resume anyway. DirecTV would not. At least they validated my parking. Anyway, right now I'm super tense & jittery. Driving is something I hate, and doing it repeatedly has not lessened my fear of it, rather it has intensified.
Now I need to have a few beers to calm down, and then I want to try my hand at a web comic. I plan to start simple, and write about the spicy curry from last night, and its effect on my tongue. FOrtunately, I found my deviant art password. If only my computer wasn't pushed to the very corner of the desk, so I have to straddle the fucking hard drive case to type, I would be more inclined to browse the deviant art site at my leisure. -

Soy mucho consada.
I'm learning Spanish at work. I do this because otherwise my brain would rot from doing nothing but cashiering. I have tomorrow off, so I'm going to apply at South Park studios. Not only does my boyfriend work next door to them, but one of the guys at my work is their security guard part-time. It's hilaious because he's tiny guy. Also, I have to return the call from the guy at Paramount recording. I REALLY want that job. It's a runner job to start, but the next step is recording engineer. I REALLY want to get back on a mixing board. I thought I would be doing editing assistant jobs after college, but sound editor ir also good. I love music even more than movies, so I'd love that job.
In other news, I'm tired.
You ever have one of those days where the last hour is crazy? LIke, all your co-workers don't want to take their calls, and everyone gets mad if you transfer a call to them? And the bitchiest customer comes in, with unreasonable demands for everyone? And you have no time to balance your cash drawer? Thank god for -cerveza.- Corona, bitches, with lime.
I want to write about Fanime, but I'll do it later. Like tomorrow. For now, I'm going to download some of the awesome videos in the amv contest. It was really good this year, congrats to the winners and everyone who participated. MOre later.

I can't believe it's Sunday. Ok lemme back up. I can't believe I have work tomorrow, followed by Famine this weekend. Whoot.
My friend Victoria came to LA this weekend, but never called me. Whatever. In fact none of my friends are returning my calls this weekend. My feelings are considerably hurt. I was going to hang out with them, too.
Friday sucked. I had the day off, and went to Sherman Oaks to get a laser eye consult. The treatment costs 3 months salary. They do offer financing, but I'm going to wait. Also, you can't rub your eyes for a month. I've been trying not to do that, and failing miserably.
Friday afternoon I had to go back to LA to pay my parking tickets. Turns out the cop gave me 2 tickets at the same time, but only put 1 on my car. So now I owe $160. I appealed and paid the ticket that hadn't doubled yet. :( The drive took an hour & a half, and when I got home my nerves were shot. I had a couple drinks, which meant no driving to San Pedro for me, as if I could have anyway. So I didn't get to see my friends, and I wonder if that pissed them off.
Yesterday....Don;t remember. Last night Eric & I went to his Mom's house for dinner & laundry. Rosaline was nice enough to treat at Rice Things. It's the first time I've been there and not been sick. Instead of soup I had curry & loved it.
This morning, I managed to spill bacon grease all ovr the floor, some of which got in my hair and eyes. Yet again, I think it's best to wait on laser surgery. I washed out my eyes with cold water and contact lens solutinon. I figured today is not my day & went back to sleep with pandora radio. Woke up applied for more editor jobs. And here I am.
The only food in the house is leftovers from the catering truck at my roommate's work. SO hungry..... -

Woke up with a sore throat yesterday. I hoped it would go away during the day, but I just got a headache instead. Fortunately, it was a slow day at work, with no too many idiot customers.
After work, Eric & I went to his Mom's house to visit, eat & do laundry. After some arguing about where to go, we went to Rice Things, and I had the soup. Every single time I've gone there, I've ben sick. After, we went back. Eric & his Mom watched Lost while I hung out with Jack in the living room & watch the United States of Tara. I love that show, it's like Weeds meets Waitress. Which is basiclly what it is.
Today I've been resting, with some mild cleanup and a lunch visit from Eric. I'm also trying to get my checks in the mail & pay off my old roommate. She says I owe her utilities from 2 months I wasn't living in the apartment. I'm just going to pay her, but probably never speak to her again. Whatever. I can't even get a straight answer from her on the breakdown of the bills. Arrgh!
Looks like my DVD for A/X finally burned. Hopefully nothing will happen to impair me from mailing it. Gawd, I really feel like shit.
BTW, the Little Mermaid 2 was actually pretty good. Not quite as good as the original, but much better than I was expecting :) Also, Bender's Game rocked! They referenced everything from Star Wars to Dungeons & Dragons, and I think I noticed a neopets and a Diablo 2 reference as well.
