fun day :) went downtown to belmont shores. IT's like another world. Ate at the auld dubliner for the 1st time. It's expensive, but their pint of guiness goes down smooth, & the plowman's platter is tasty, I just have to remember to ask for extra toast if I go back. Went on the ferris wheel for the 1st time, too. It was fun, esp. since I was a bit buzzed.
Next went to the aquarium of the pacific. I got a dual membership with my mom, so we get a year of visits. Good thing we got it be4 the new year, cuz the price went up by $25. Got lotsa good b-roll of the fishies swimming. I managed to get some good shots of the moon jellies. & a couple quickies of the leafy seadragons. I want to go back & spend more time with them, & maybe get permission to bring a tripod. I plan to write a couple scripts in my script class next semester that are mermaid-themed, & maybe use the green screen to put a "mermaid" in an aquarium setting. That would be SO awesome.
Saw eragon. Ok movie, but ripped off star wars: emipre strikes back A LOT. Also episode 3. I swear, the archer dude looks like anakin skywalker's twin. But I love dragons, so I enjoyed it.
Went home, tried a new shrimp boil (water, lemon juice, basil, garlic cloves, tarragon, bay leaves). then plucked out the shrimpies legs & made pineapple shrimp. yum! Now I'm baking brownies. Hmmm. Is it just me, or did arigatomina get a sleek new profile pic? -

gah.. Lessee...got a beta fish, named him kevin haskins, after the drummer for bauhaus & love & rockets. He died after 1 day.
Got a replacement beta, david j., after the guitarist in bauhaus & love & rockets. He seems to be doing okay, swimming around & stuff. I got lonely when my cats would hang out in the living room...
My orchids are doing okay. So far my record is 2-2 in terms of survivors, so I'm doing better than my previous plants. My cactus is still alive, too. Too much water & soil can kill a orchid, so I have to not water one for a month to let it recover.
Been watching christmas present anime. Gotten to the last dvds in both kaleido star & rune soldier. Cant wait to start those who hunt elves. I'd like to invite some of my friendws over to watch them, but the house is still too small & messy.
so...tired...........so....dizzy...
HAven't slept well in a couple days. Either it's a cat or someone mesing with the thermostat, but I'm exhausted.
I made more progress on the amv I've been working on since last June. It's gonna be better than all my other ones combined, I just need to remove a couple scenes I'm not happy with, & figure out the ending, -

Tonight I tried to cook shrimp. The frozen stuff I dumped into the skillet turned out to be mango, not shrimp. I decided to try mango shrimp instead of pineapple. The mango mix still tastes fishy & gross. I added pineapple juice as a last resort & some soy sauce.
Then I went online & googled shrimp recipes. That's whre I got the idea of soy. Next I looked up "shrimp help" & found that you should never buy frozen shrimp that's precooked, esp. if it has ice crystals, meaning it was frozen, then de-frosted.
Today's expirement......failed. -

Wow, I finally found my password to the site. And, my mom is letting me borrow her internet sometimes. I miss having internet access....
Still working on the same amv since June. I'm starting to think that there can be such a thing as too much anime in 1 video. I may need to re-install iMovie, & possibly after effects...
