Augh. *augh* Tiring day. Had a fun morning, went swimming with Eric at the pool where he works. Got to meet his boss co-workers, & learned that I can't swim worth a shit. I got him to get me to swim under the barrier, tho. It was kinda scary, but he held my hand :) It started to sprinkle just as we left.
Had skool work to get done. I ended up having to re-do my script analysis with another 40 scenes. I did it really quick, in 35 minutes. I found out later I made some mistakes, but I corrected them when I entered the info into the computer, so maybe it wont matter. Primarily, I'm concerned that my file saved at all. The program crashed 8 times, then when I worked off the desktop, it crashed like 5 more times, every time I'd change the set or location. I had to breakdown a script in a program for a class. It's due tomorrow, so I just left my audio class after the quiz & did it then.
I'm so tired. I got dates & deadlines sorta swirling around in my head, unable to touch any of them.I just wanna chillout & watch amvs tonite & worry about shit tommorw XD

Good weekend. Spent almost every day last week & this weekend hanging out with Eric :) We saw 300 with his friends. I missed him SO bad the week I was out of the country. good newses are: I realized I love him even more than I thought I did, & I'm pretty sure I'm finally over jet lag...mostly...
On Saturday I went with Eric to his work to hang out & watch Planetes. It's a cute show. I really like the character of Fee. She's a hard-smoking hardass. I don't think I wanna go into space now, tho. I get clostrophobic being indoors for too long, I dont know how astronauts stand being crammed into little shuttles for months at a time, wearing diapers & hairspray.
aww, my female beta is looking at me & blowing bubbles. Her mouth is turned down, just like a bulldog.
Irritating news. I've been on the pill a week, & I gained 9 pounds! The chicks at planned parenthood said it only increases your appetite. So it's diet time. *sigh* Diet time is hard....
It's VCA time again. I haven't even had time to watch any of the videos (just 1...) let alone do any editing this year. CSU is busy! I wanna see what people came up with this year, cuz last year was really good. Also, I need to start shooting my student films for this semester & write 3 more papers. College life is lotsa work!! And, oh shit, I have an exam tonite!!! 1st one was fairly ez, tho, so I'm not too worried. Wish i hadnt left my cell @ my bf's house, we could co-ordinate & study together!

I'm back from Germany!
2007-03-21 10:02:39
I was in Germany from 3-14-07 t0 3-21-07. That translates to 3 days in an airplane, & 3 days on the ground. Jet lag is not fun....
It was an alright trip. I have a new appreciation for America, that's for sure. It's the little things you take for granted, like speaking English, & not paying 9 euros for 1 sausage. The food was so weird & scary! They had sausage things, but they dont explain, in a way I could understand, what part of the animal or animals were used. I tried the white sausage. It was kinda funny tasting, & the sauce tasted like pickles mixed with apples. Eaten with the pretzel I kept it down okay.
There are more Italians living there than Germans. Lots of pizzerias. In Germany, pepperoni pizza is vegetables, & salami pizza is pepperoni-like, but saltier.
The autobahn was a challenge. Scott drove 80 km, which is about 40 mph. That was also 40 km under the recommend speed limit, and about 100 km under what the other drivers drove. It was kinda funny. The Italians honk their horns behind you while screaming & waving their hands, while the Germans glare silently in unison as they pass.
We went to Salzburg, Austria. It was sorta like Rodeo Drive, but closed at 4pm. Germany closes way early, like 2 p.m. It's weird to think that many Germans & Austrians only work for 4 hours a day, then rest or spend time with their families. Also, Jesus is very popular. Lotta Jesus as art, Jesus on the wall. This one town we went to on Sunday, Ottorammadach (I think that's how it's spelled...) had the little houses & hotels painted with murals of Jesus hiking with the hotel's owners. Kinda weird...
All in all, I have to say that if the signs hadn't been in German, I would have thought I was back in Mississippi. It's very quiet there, and a bit boring. Mostly, I missed Eric more & more each day. I was super excited to see him yesterday. I managed to catch the last half of my history class last night. They were talking about "the spectacle," which is a book about commercialism & capitalism. It was a huge contrast between the specific things the teacher mentioned & the German culture. I noticed that religion there is used like ads are here. All in all, weird experience. Also, I got my work done yesterday for my class, so I'm all caught up with my school work :) I studied for my test before I left. As an added bonus, my fish are still alive!
I have about 40 minutes of video. I wanted to get another video card, becuz I got a great deal on one at the airport, but the souvenir store at the town with the Neuweinstein castle in it was overcharging. The castle was beautiful. I believe it was my favorite part of the trip. I loved the mountain & lake views, especially as seen thru the king's bedroom. MTV cribs got nothing on King Ludwig 2. He took his favorite operas & painted scenes from them throughout the castle. Also, there was an artificial cave. It was really awesome, a little like Disneyland, but less sickeningly commercial.

My kitten Noriko just got spayed, & she doesn't recognize me anymore *sad* On the positive side, my fish no longer have fin rot, & they're doing really well. I'm going to try breeding them when I come back from Germany.
In other news, last nite I helped paint a backdrop for a student film for 4 hours. My class got cancelled, so I had some free time. Maybe I'll get a credit!
The anime club @ my skool got kicked out of the usual areas. A few of the guys in the club (Roy!!!) are siding with the admin. I think it's stupid to say that a group of people can't be in a public space at a given time. The mentally retarded janitor probably complained to someone higher up, cuz he was disjointedly bitching last week.
I'm going to Germany on Monday, returning Wednesday. My family is all mad me cuz I told my grandparents, & they thought it was my mom's idea, and she paid for it, but it was her boyfriend, and I think my mom should have just told them, cuz I explained it wrong...my family sux sometimes.,....
Also I'm going to sell the Coachella tickets soon. Screw ebay, I'll use craigslist. I was hoping I could make a good profit, but it looks like, minus the cost of the ticket I'm using for myself, I'll break even, possibly less $60. Still, for 3 days of awwesomeness, that's pretty good.
I need a bike. My bf got his family's cabin for that weekend, but it's 3-4 miles away, & driving during the festival is impossible.
I was late for class this morning cuz the larm didnt go off, but it was library how-to-use the system explaination, so I didnt miss much.
Gotta go to the bathroom now. Maybe i'll write more later...
