Ok, after the days and nights of sweat, money, and being pissed, I finally got my new system up and running tonight. It's running two OS's, and at it's full proc. speed... woohoo!
Ok, enough techo blather.
I want to watch anime tonight...
Oh yeah, in other news, I encoded "Pussy" into an Mpg with TMpeg Encoder, and it looks pretty. So, now there is an AVI an MPG, and tomorrow I'll get Smack My Bitch Up into the system as well. Huray!
Sorry about the wait... finding a place to host is a pain in the ass, especially when I can't run an FTP from my own place due to my non-static IP... suck suck suck suck suck! -

Well, anyway, work is done for the day, and my life continues... now the race... to see how much I can get done before I involuntarily pass out from exhaustion...
I feel less and less like... what... I dunno... less like a bonifide geek. My girlfriend likes that I'm a geek... I hope she still likes me if I ever stop being a geek.
My computer is working now, which makes me happy... I just have to make a trip back to the local computer place to trade out some crap (DDR ram for SDRam... dont ask, its a long story)... Skittles do not make an apporpriate dinner.... don't ever forget that. -

I was just reading other journals, and it seems i'm not alone in my wishing for the elder days of my anime addiction. Hsien runs around a hell of a lot more than I do (as far as Cons go, etc), and I can understand his need for chill-out time... And the nights spend burning through page after page of any manga I could get my hands on... playing saga frontier after a 12 hour video shoot at school... grah... evil roommates who loan out your Urusei Yatsura tapes for drugs...
now work calls, 8 hours a day, and its so hard to find motivation to turn on the DVD Player... where has all my pretty anime gone?
Was going to say, too... the production studio names: I haven't ever chosen one for the reason that I don't want to get stuck with something I can't stand later... I've considered a few, but nothing has stuck yet.
Decisions, Decisions, Decisions: You go to the restauraunt, look at the menue, and can't decide... burger, salad, steak, soup, sandwitch, am I even in the right damn restauraunt? ... sometimes you just have to pick something, and go with it, I guess...

I was reading someones post a minute ago about Prem... Premei... Premier (i before e except after c, or when sounding like a as in "asshole" and "argentina"... ah, crap, I was never meant to be a english teacher). I wondered what kind of format they were using to bring their files in... I guess Premier 6.0 is evil when it comes to DV files... my comp at work always gives me the beloved blue screen of hades whenever I scroll about in DV files too much. I think MiniDV is a great way to store your videos, btw... they have those nice MiniDV decks that will fit in a 5 1/4 drive slot for around 900 bucks! I dunno... it's better than springing for a DigiBeta or D2 (those are freggin expensive... like, $10,000 maybe? More?)
and now, a breif diversion:
when I was younger, I had a large stack of unlabeled, unmarked, and really random tapes just full of any anime I could find, or get someone to make me a copy of... sometimes, I long for those days... days when I would see something like Maison Ikkoku, this wonderful series I had never even known to exist unfurl before my eyes... while my college roommates were busy doing all the drugs and loose women they could find, I was reading sappy manga till 5 or 6am... just enough time to catch 3 hours of sleep before class... it's hard to find that excitement lately... I almost want to back off of finding new anime for a while, and just let the wonderment (is that even a word?) take over again... series like One Peice, and Noir... I could see myself spending a whole saturday just watching them... but now, I have this ever present "Anime Club" thing hanging over my head, and all these people being hypercritical about freaking anime! Like, I've never even seen Cowboy Bebop because they had me convied it was the most horrible, crappy anime in the world before I even considered getting any of it... now I wonder... I hear its good...
I'd probably have never watched Trigun, because they also had me convinced that that sucked... hehe, I know better, though...

Hmmmm... I added some music video information... I promise, there really will be videos available online soon to accompany them! I have to convince my anime club to let me host them off of our site... they think I'm just going to use their space and not tell anyone where they're hosted... just for the record, I'm a member of Anime Sushi, from Orlando. There you go, hah!
Ok, I'm off to watch perfect blue...
