Scooter or Slick Idiot... no, thats no choice... scooter is the greatest.
The real decision is between the Dazzle Hollywood DV Bridge
and the Pinnacle Studio Deluxe... I think I'm leaning towards the pinnacle right now... they're roughly the same price, and do pretty much the same thing... le sigh.
People want to have these problems... and I can't deal with them... -

Obsolete as it is, my Playstation (not 2, just regular old playstation) is a super huge distraction! Arghh! I was going to work on my videos last night, but I saw the dvd player, and my minidv deck, and I thought... Tony Hawk 2? Yes! I haven't beaten that in a while!

apparently I'm going there to Judge their AMV contest... cool. I'm going to be in a panel or two about AMVs as well. Very cool. Uh... I hope I can think of something relevant to say.
Theoretical Situation:
Audience Member: "Uh, yeah, SushiBoyJared, what would you say is the best way to catalogue my video files that I've ripped from a DVD via VOBDEC, then converted to DV AVI then recompressed back to MPEG2 with a Higher VBR, just so they'd take up more space..."
Me: "Er... uh... well, usually I just... uh... complain that I don't have a big enough hard drive... whats a VOBDEC? Is it, like, a new millitary transport vehicle? I need some more water..."
Audience: "(nothing)"
Me: "Hah, yes, see, that was my bumbling moron gag, where I pretend not to know what video formats and programs are, and make people feel silly for using lots of acronyms... and I'm not really stupid, see... uh... Variable Bit Rate? Anyone?"
Audience: "(nothing)"
Me: "Er... Premiere Sucks?"
Audience: (cheers wildly)
Me: (curls into fetal position) "I wanna go home..."

Welcome back to my journal on AMV.org! I got so busy with crap, I forgot to post for, like, months! Holy crap!
I have my two new videos under way for AWA8... they are going to be neato.
I'm a little nervous, though... I'm entering into a new level this year, and having only won 2 things in Expo, I don't want to void etiquette, but I feel I'd rather just jump over the Pro Contest... Expo is fun for my weird little experiments, because the people in there are really relaxed... but at the same time, I don't want to be pidgeonholed as a Quirk-Artist (which, feasibly, my newest video could do to me) and I want to actually do some quality editing, and show it to people who appreciate quality editing... So, they're coming, folks... hope you can check 'em out at AWA... - Yes, and now 2001-11-01 12:56:16 Its time to decide what fast fŭd (*note: not food) restauraut will receive the grace of my presence this fine afternoon. This one tastes like Kangaroo, this one smells like Rhino Poo, but throw some sesame seads on top, and anyone will eat this slop. Have it your way, have it today, it will kill you, but that's ok... if you have it your way, today is your last day... enjoy your last day, massive corinary failure...
