You mean you made that video without having watched FLCL!?!?
Holy schmoltz.
BTW, I still need to send you that MP3 to get your opinion on my song choice for the Shamanic Princess video. I trust your taste & intuition...

dreddnott: You're right, it *is* an awesome piece of Photoshop work. I've been trying harder to get my skin tones more natural... they're still a bit on the yellowish side though :/
Thanks for the offer - I will probably take you up on that. Grammar and verbs are KILLING ME.
Oh, and, nope - not making any profit off any part of the Bebop site. I don't like the idea of profiting from copyrighted characters on the web (Though I do sell fanart at con art auctions from time to time... EK=hypocrite)

AAAAAAUUUUGH. Jesus, dreddnott, post a warning or something when you link to a pic like that. I was expecting Wackysilly Japanese Funtime and got IMPALED NEKKID SHOUJO.
Don't make me post some of those dreaded "JESPER" pics as revenge!! >:D
Fortunately, there's no real net use monitoring at my job, so it's OK... I'm not mad :D Still, just goes to show that just when I think I'm sick, someone halfway across the globe one-ups me. (heh heh)
Speaking of Wackysilly Japanese Funtime, I added an Oekaki BBS to my Bebop site. Come draw stuff!

Anyway.
It's a gorgeous morning here in Austin... the leaves are finally turning brilliant shades of orange and yellow (yes, it does take that long for fall to get here)... it's 32 degrees and clear as a bell. THIS is how winter should be. You see your breath, you keep your sweater on, but it's not too damp and icky to go hiking. YES.
Driving to work this morning, I popped in "Sand in the Vaseline" - I'd forgotten what a great compilation that was - my other 3 faves are "Remain in Light", "Speaking in Tongues", and "More Songs about Buildings and Food", but this is a nice summary of TH's best work. There are few better ways to start your morning than a crisp winter day and "Mr. Jones" blaring out of your speakers.
Bring on them horns. I want my horns, dammit! ROAR!
Seriously, though, brass has 0wnD m3 this past week. When I left work on Friday, the sax player who sometimes hangs out down here was doing a solo rendition of the "Acknowledgement" movement of Coltrane's "A Love Supreme". So naturally I had to pop in my copy... and follow it up with "Odd Ones" off Vitaminless.
When I got home, there was a radio special about the rerelease of the master tapes from Miles Davis' "Kind of Blue" recordings. Turned on my computer, Charlie Parker's "Jumpin' at the Roost" was still in the CD-R drive.
And this morning, "Mr. Jones" and "Blind" on my car stereo.
Delicious.
Oh - I started on the "8.6.82" video last night. It's waaaay stupid.

If you are ever visiting a Japanese Bebop fansite and see the katakana for the name "Jesper"... it's not "Jesper", nor is it a name.
Just so you know.
