ARGH. You know, as much as I like Kissyan's page, this new-link-in-preexisting-window thing has got to stop. That's the second journal entry I've lost today.
KenShimazu, if you're reading this, I haven't gone back on my word; I just haven't had high-speed access since before Xmas. I'll try to d/l some of your vids tonight at Brett's place.
Made two banners today, just to be dumb and to play with my new font suitcases. Also took my three stabs at the logo contest with some kookiness.
It's official - I've got the AMV Editing Bug again. (Sympton #1: driving around for an hour and playing the same song over and over, going back to the beginning when distracted by traffic.)
I'm going to have to sit on it and wait for a few weeks until Ushicon blows over and until I get my source footage, but I already have my shots & edits planned. If this new editing technique goes as planned, it'll blow all my previous work totally out of the water. ::crosses fingers::
Also, I'm determined to do a Ladysmith Black Mambazo video someday. No clue how I am going to do this. -

Bowler: I know of which you speak, and I send you a hug. Don't sweat it - he gets rather vehement online but is a perfectly reasonable chap. I used to get a little wound up reading his posts, until I realized that the vehemence was stated in "I think..." and "I see this as..." and "I believe..."
Which is one of the things I really like about him. He feels strongly about his own views and will share them, but respects others' opinions as well. It'd be hard to find two friends who were further apart on the sociopolitical spectrum who get along as swimmingly-well as he and I.
In short, what I'm saying is that he really doesn't think you're a freaking moron, he was just stating his own opinion ^^ (I know...)
(Also, is it just me, or did Sept. 11 sap the last remaining humour out of "Boondocks"? Maybe I just can't laugh at "look at me, I'm so acerbic and that's EDGY!" stuff anymore.)
Paizuri: w00t!! I'm listening to "As Yet Untitled" right now, in fact. Why is it that the BEST 80's artists are the ones that are never considered 80's artists? (Actually, I guess that's a good thing, really.) And how can you argue with lyrics like "I wanna hear the sugar bells ring?" ::insert goggle-eyed blushing face emoticon here::
Speaking of 80's music, I'm considering making an A!MG movie video to "Mary's Prayer", by Danny Wilson. (Which came out in 1987, and I *do* consider to be 80's music, unlike, say, "Sledgehammer", or "Burning Down the House", which I *do not* consider 80's music.)
Not much new art today; I actually had work to do.
Did an Oekaki of Jet, but his face looks kinda weird. Like how the background & props came out, though (he's holding a martini shaker that looks really nice, with primary (ambient, white) and secondary (directional, golden) lights reflecting on it), so maybe I'll upload it to my site with his face mosaiced out ^^;
Apparently Niko and I were drawing at the same time - I totally dig her nihilist-brit-goth/punk rendition of Spike. OI!
I'd post the link here, but that picBBS got a pretty hard overseas spam hit when I linked it off my site (link's gone now), so... much bowing and scraping on my part, meh, mur, whatever. Over and done.
Speaking of "mur", I'm going to go work out now, then go home and pet 1337H4X0R.

Started reading Clive Barker's "The Great and Secret Show" today. It's pretty intriguing so far, despite the definite feeling that Barker is rushing through the setup in order to get to the meat of the story. Entire passages that could be much more thorough are just skimmed over. Ah, well.
One month till I can get started on my new AMV. -

Actually, I don't know what's scarier, the link itself, or the fact that I've been in anime fandumb long enough to know that yes, people REALLY ARE that vindictive over stupid, petty things. I almost got sucked into something like that myself once, but I was saved. Thank you, apathetic laziness!

1337H4X0R got all his immunizations today and he's in the livingroom cleaning himself. He seems to have forgiven me for making him ride in a cat carrier.
God, that cat food stinks x_x
If anyone recognizes the lyrics from this entry's subject header, I'll be pleasantly surprised. I'd forgotten how incredibly SEXY that song is, and it's a shame it just faded away into obscurity like that.
