    Brett's first music video is almost finished, and it's rockin' the suburbs. (Dear sweet Jesus, did I really just type that?!) We're trying to figure out if Premiere has a Layer Modes function like in Photoshop 6, but it doesn't appear to.

    Got an idea for Radiohead's "Pyramid Song". Dunno if I'm going to go through with it.

    Gonna hold off on DVD purchases, get my cable disconnected, eat at home more... generally budget for a while until this $825 is paid off. (That is, if Hurricane Electric doesn't back down and admit they're wrong and reduce the charges.)
    Going to go through my Bebop art (the stuff that's on paper) tonight and gather a big Sheaf O' Sketches (tm) to auction on eBay. Some folks are interested in the Ralph Steadman tribute pic, too, so I think I'll be running to Ginny's to get a hi-quality print of that.
    I just hope I didn't break 25GB this month, or I'm in deep doodoo.

    OH! Some good things - I got Yuri's new doujin in the mail yesterday, as well as the Eva doujin I ordered. Yuri's work is fabulous as always. (http://members.jcom.home.ne.jp/tehanu/gallery/bebop02.html)
    My favorite short is [sort of spoilers for "Knockin' on Heaven's Door" ahead] a one-page comic in which Bull's pet wolf pulls Spike out of the river, opens his shirt, and treats & bandages his wound... while Bull just sort of sits there watching. The last panel of the wolf unrolling medical gauze while Bull looks on is hilarious.
    The Eva doujinshi is a riot - totally insane gags and parodies. There's a story in which everyone at NERV switches bodies, except Misato. PenPen in Gendou's beard and glasses, sitting at the command chair, Kaji wearing Asuka's plugsuit... it's nuts. The whole time, Miasto is trying to maintain order while not cracking up at everyone.
    Also watched volume 3 of "The Big O". Winter Night Phantom was totally excellent. Count me in a Dastun fan.
    (Hmm, Dastun, Jet, Tetsugyu... is there some sort of pattern here? o_o)

    I got my credit card bill today... Fuck.
    What the story boils down to is that between Dec. 15 (the day of my last monthly invoice from he.net) and Dec. 23 (the day my bandwidth allowance was raised to 25GB), big-big-truck pulled 18 GB of traffic.
    I received no notice about this, no calls, and this was not mentioned on my January invoice.

    So I didn't find out about it until I got charged $825.00 for it.

    EIGHT HUNDRED AND TWENTY FIVE MOTHERFUCKING DOLLARS.

    I work for a fucking UNIVERSITY - that's more than half my monthly pay BEFORE TAXES!! That's rent and a half!! FUCK!!

    Hopefully I'll be able to reach their billing dept on Monday (it's a Canadian company, so they don't have MLK day off) and chew them out, and we can either work out a delayed payment plan or get some of the charges dropped.
    I can't believe they'd spring that on me with no notice.

    Fucking ridiculous.

    Also, if anyone reading this has been direct-linking to files hosted on my website... this is your cue to STOP.
