I hadn't had my fix in far too long.
Far too long.
Sitting behind my desk at work today, I began to feel the need.
No wait, scratch that - I'd had the craving since Thursday, but it didn't really hit me full force until about four p.m. today, when I nearly began to physically convulse from deprivation.
I needed me some CREEDENCE.
Ohhhh yeah.
Left the office at 5:15 and headed straight to Cheapo on Lamar, where I snagged "Willy and the Poor Boys" used for $8.95.
Such bliss. Such chooglin' bliss.
It's only missing "Good Golly Miss Molly" and "Born on the Bayou".
So if you happen to be in Texas and hear some unholy off-key yowling of "Midnight Special", you know who's responsible.
Oh... Creedence. So downhome. So delicious. So betraying of my backwoods origins.
I also got a copy of Peter Gabriel's "Passion", since conversing with AD had gotten me with PG on the brain. (That was $7.50. I love you, Cheapo.)
Oh - speaking of music... here's a new wallpaper I made toda - oh yeah, I can't direct link those any more. Uhh, there's a new wallpaper on the Bebop site. I like it, but not quite as much as the "Real Indication" one. This was another case of not-enough-footage-for-the-song-and-I've-quit-making-bebop-TV-series-videos-anyway-so-let's-make-a-wallpaper.

It's the top one. I love Zothique but I hardly ever get a chance to use it... I really enjoy making wallpapers. It's such a nice excuse to play with fonts and images.
Also, book cover draft, so you can see what I've been panicking about for the past three weeks:

(No, the author is not Jack Palance.)
It's nearing completion - I still have to integrate the foreground and background more (the robot [who has been dubbed Optimus Gundeus] is going to be coming out of the explosion), and the background elements (DVDs, etc.) aren't finished, and there aren't any gloss effects yet, and the type's not finalized, but this is basically it.
Stereotypical? Good. That's the point.
Oh, and if you get the "joke" on the gun... you're a bigger nerd than me. ;-)

If I am dumb beside your body while silence blossoms like tumours on our lips, it is because I hear a man climb the stairs and clear his throat outside our door.

AD: Isn't that a great song? It always gets me choked up when I listen to the album version. The live version I find a little more heartwarming than heartbreaking.
But for the record, the album version has Kate Bush on backing vocals, and the live version features Paula Cole. (Paula COLE. What HAPPENED to you? Going from singing backup for Peter Gabriel to making "Say a little prayer for I" grammatical Dawson's dreck?? Poor girl.)
I do so love Peter Gabriel. Such beautiful goodness.
Hey Hsien, have you heard Fila Brazillia's remix of "It's Not So Beautiful" by the Beta Band? I think you might like it.
Spent last night at the NCAA Women's Division I Swimming & Diving championships. The sister of one of my best friends was competing for Auburn, and their team completely swept the entire Championships. It was great. Yes, I spent the evening surrounded by mind-bogglingly beautiful women who could bench-press a horse, and I was too straight to appreciate it. BE JEALOUS!! :D
Cuddled with 1337 this morning until about 11, when I forced myself out of bed... worked on the cover until about 1:30, then drove out to Bee Cave to meet Brett and Aleks for yummy catfish. Washed the Honda at Brett's, then came home and have been working on the cover again.
Speaking of the book cover, I'm sending a big middle finger out to the complainers; The more I think about this whole "integrity" thing, the more it pisses me off. Don't fucking tell me what I can and can't draw. Don't fucking tell me what I can and can't make. I'm only a sellout if I say I am. I can only sell out on MY own terms.
...And that's all the stuff that I'm too big of a pussy to say on the art forums I visit.
Less than a month till Anime Central!
I still need to buy a new pair of jeans and get my hair cut, but I think I am set to go. Decided not to sell any of my Bebop fanart because 1. I'd feel weird making a profit from it, and 2. out of respect for Mr. Kawamoto. (Well, I guess that's two parts of the same reason, but whatever.)
Been bitching too much, linking too little.

Content's fun, too, in that Happy Noodle Boy sort of way. You have to love a site where ANYTHING is named "Pants of Antioch".

You may have spotted this cute Japanese mascot in the now-infamous "God Kills a Kitten" picture.

Not to be confused with Duncan Hines Zingers. Mmmm, zingers.

Sellout (n): what an unemployed artist calls an employed artist.
Jesus Herbert Christ. I hate artists.
