JOURNAL: Big Big Truck (E K)

  • I walk like a building, I never get wet / I'm lookin' at ladies, I'm talkin' like men 2002-04-14 16:01:28 "In any case, the removal of a video from distribution on the grounds that it might offend somebody who hasn't followed the disclaimer in the video information is a shame, in my humble opinion."

Well, if it means anything, I probably won't be distributing my next video at all (except by private request download), because the song/anime pairing is pretty darn offensive, politically speaking.
I still want to *make* it, because the song really speaks to me, but I probably won't even put my name on it, in order to avoid fire.

As for the hentai thing, well, you can't cover your ass too much - and it boils down to the fact that this *is* Phade's site, not public domain.

Hell, I've got no problem with hentai or porn myself, but I don't put any nekkid toons up on my site, just to protect my rep. (And my safety - things get a bit weird/complicated for girls in that department)

    FIVE DAYS UNTIL CHICAGO.
  • everybody's hands are in their pockets / everybody wants a box of chocolates and a long stemmed rose 2002-04-14 14:38:29 Grrbah. Gettin' ready for Central - made the Pre-Con Pantyhose and Nutrition Bar run today.
Left a review for Cowboy Opera.

    Slept a lot.

Paid taxes out the nose. It hurts.
  • She don't use nothin' you buy at the store / she likes her hairdo to be real orange 2002-04-14 10:22:47 http://www.big-big-truck.com/bebop/cbdirl/icanseeyourboobs.jpg

    Best screencap ever.

  • Things are disappearing / in the neighborhood 2002-04-12 19:41:01 For those of you making KoHD videos, I've noticed some interlacing in Electra's appearance in her medical biohazard suit, and in Spike's arrival at Cherious in the truck. Just so you know.
    (Pulling clips right now.)

    Bowler -
"EK: I think you mentioned Portishead (I hope that's the right name for the moody spy-ish band) for a Big-O video at one point, but have you considered any of their stuff for your [official] KoHD vid?"

I did think about usign "Biscuit" for KoHD, but deemed it too angsty. As for the Big O video, I'm going to try PM Dawn's "Paper Doll" and The Boom's "Hohoemi".
(Yes, I officially no longer care who knows about my ideas.)

Heard Quarashi for the first time the other night... on NPR. Go for it, man.
  • And I thought, he looks like a hat check clerk from an ice skating rink. Which he was. And I thought, "oh boy, right again". 2002-04-12 13:40:59 Hsien: pegged jeans never really caught on at my school, although there was a sort of ersatz uniform that girls were supposed to wear. I remember going to Parisian's and totaling up the cost of dressing like that for ONE DAY, and it came to $382.00. $260, if you skipped the Dooney & Bourke leather satchel.
    But you really couldn't.

Faugh. I'm in too good of a mood to continue wit de angst.

Brett and I just had a great lunch at Castle Hill - I love that place. It's pricey for dinner, but at lunch you get honest-to-god gourmet food for $9 to $12 a plate. I had this thinly sliced pork tenderloin fanned out over a thai rec curry sauce and drizzled with sesame-plum glaze, with shiitake fritters. Num.

A visitor to my Bebop site e-mailed me a news item about the Spike figurine being released in the states - I went to check it out, and I gotta say, the figure is pretty nice overall, but the face -- oh man.
This picture is hilarious on its own...

...but it's still ripe for captioning.
