    I didn't want to make a big presentation, just a matter-of-fact statement: AMV competition has gotten too volatile, so I'm quitting. Still gonna make videos (going to churn out the MPEG of that beta for you tonight, Hsien), but they're all going to AWA's Expo or going on my private site.

    In other news, working on some gift art. Wanna see the evolution of a CG? Too bad, I'm going to show you anyway.
    This is also going to become a wallpaper, but the hi-res version is a gift. I promised this guy I'd draw him something like, a month ago... this was one of those "oh my god I admire your work so much I have GOT to draw you a gift" things.

    (I went ahead and applied a temporary shade layer for the demo image... the line art is still pretty dirty, but I thought it might be fun to work with that way.)

    Moral of the story: you might just want to, you know, actually REFER TO YOUR BACKGROUND LIGHTING when coloring characters. Derr, EK. >_<
    This should be done in a day or two.

    I can't wait to do more speedpainting. I want to try that ballerina, and one of William H. Macy, and one of Lyle Lovett.

    I'm gonna grab some chow at Veggie Heaven and head over to Brett's to watch "The Secret of NIMH". Childhood classic, yay, Don Bluth, booooo.

    I went through my bookmarks today and realized how many forums I have bookmarked. I took out about half of them. Ah, well. To each his own, and all that.
    Toonzone was OK, but I just wasn't interested in most of it.
    Ditched: AnRe (defunct), HF (defunct), Danger (defunct), AnimeBoards (almost no intelligent conversation), Toonzone (not interested), OCAD (no longer useful for critiques)
    Keepers: MV, this place, AWA, Bebop board, Artist's Oasis.

    I think someone's managed to direct-link my wallpapers, as my bandwidth has jumped and my wallpapers are pulling a lot more traffic suddenly >_<
