I've been bad this weekend. I drank way too much beer last night (not that I got drunk, but that it was $4 a glass... urk!)
Learned a valuable lesson: I can traverse a dealer's room while tipsy and not make any purchases, but ohhh, a used CD store... Fortunately, since these are used CDs, I only spent about $30, but still. It's the whole principle of the the thing.

Robbie Robertson - self-titled (Brett found this and showed it to me - I cried, "AHH! It's the out-of-print self-titled! Hand me that!")
Del Tha Funkee Homosapien - I Wish My Brother George Was Here (best early 90's hip hop, period. I so wish I still had all those Bebop TV series clips on the hard drive so I could make a Jet-centric video to "Sleepin' on my Couch".)
Slept till noon today because I suck.

Pie Row: The entire OBWAT soundtrack is EXCELLENT. Well, except for "In the Highways, In the Heavens". I hate little kid singers. My personal faves on that CD are the instrumental version of "Man of Constant Sorrow" and "O Death".
Just went to Waterloo this afternoon and picked up that Verve Remix compilation I mentioned here a few months ago... the one with the Tricky/Tool mix of "Strange Fruit". As an album, it's fine, but when I listen to remixes, I prefer to hear more than just a song with a different drumbeat added. You know, mix it around a little more, remake it! Sigh.
Also got "Music has the right to children" by Boards of Canada. Good stuff. I *heart* roygbiv.
Ran into Liz at Flipnotics - hadn't seen her since February. I feel so out of touch.
Had a fun night last night - went bowling at Dart and had drinks at Lala's. Of course, bowling calls for white russians (much Coen Brothers love in dis hizzouse.)
It was so great... Such a wonderful change from working at the uni. I love my job, but it does involve being the only person under 40 in the building who's not 5'9" and 110 lbs with Gucci slacks, a tan, and a tiny ass. Not that big a deal, but it does warp one's worldview after a while. At the bowling alley, to use an ancient term, no one was frontin', they were just there to bowl and drink beer and hang out. No one was made up and strutting, no one was meat-marketing... just... hanging out. Same at Lala's. Man, I love that bar.
Damn, kyburg, I wish we weren't going to miss ya when you were in town; I'd take you there. :(
I guess I should get some sort of video thing ready for Jacon, but I'm not too worried about it since I can't enter the competition anyhow. Got some sort of interview thing for that...uhh... I really don't know much about Jacon... urrrr.
KoHD videos are creeping along. Not sure if I'll ever complete one - that movie is emotionally and visually all over the place, without really enough of one feel to make a consistent 3 minute video.
