Umm, on that note (or something), I was bad and made another Cheapo run this Friday...
BoC's "Geogaddi" kicks undescribable amounts of ass. Like, Carl Sagan proportion amounts of ass. "Dawn Chorus" had me utterly hypnotized. Either they put subliminal messages into the music, or it's JUST THAT GOOD.
I also picked up a Best of Red Prysock collection, which just... wow. amazing.
Also, Connells' "Fun and Games". Super Solitary Happy Remaining Memories of Highschool Action Z. Let me tear down into your heart, let me take a seat and stay awhile. Yeah.
This Thursday my friend Lee came into town from San Francisco (he was in SA on business)... we hung out, listened to Dntel, caught up on Life, the Universe, and Everything, and talked about art and the art industry. He does character modeling for Blizzard and we talked about costuming and character designing for hours over vegan food. It was fantastic.
I so so so so so so want to go back to SF now. I know I could never afford to live there (hell, I can barely afford to live in Austin on my salary), but I fell head over heels in love with SF when I visited back in fall of 2001.
